Hey guys. I'm really loving all these airbrush / miniatures videos! I've been airbrushing the past year, but these videos are uping my games and answering questions that I always had in the past. I hope that you guys can create a video showing different ways to paint enegery weapons. It would be cool to see energy weapons painting in different colors (besides that standar blue and white airbrush technique). Also, it would be cool to see different ways to makes to paint them with the airbrush and how to give different effects and appearances on the blades - not only show how to paint power or magical swords, but show how to do this on energy axes and warhammers and things. Regardless - Love your videos and looking forward to see what else you guys can show us!

I think highlighting black with grey reduces saturation a lot. I tend to use blues and other colours - it has a nice hint of colour that way and not just monochromatic painting. So for example, we could add blue edge-highlights to the panels. It separates sections nicely and makes the mini more interesting to look at. A lot of GW art for Deathwatch does this as well. Lovely video by the way! :)

Iron Hands player here. Big supporter of the monochromatic style. Any tint of blue leans too much into Night Lords imho. I want to go for that black iron look. Abaddon Black, Corvus Black and Eshin Grey highlight. Drybrushed with Iron Warriors. Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color Black in the recesses. Chefs Kiss for me. No airbrush needed.

this is great ! Can you mention in your next video what is your psi/bar when glazing, priming, layering? i’m often stuck on 1.5-1.8 bar . And also what is your 3 to one ration on camera, do you do it with drops or with a brush? I add thinner in the cup until the small hole is full then 2-3 drops. I’m curious to see your process. :)

I'm sure Andy will drop in soon too, but generally, your psi is good, up to around 2bar... for mixing paint - thinner in the cup first, then add paint and mix it around with a suitable implement - typically I'll use an old needle's back end...

Great video, but was wondering why you opted to prime with a spray can rather than with the airbrush using "proper" primer paints? Thanks in advance.

Andy occasionally misbehaves. I don't know what else to tell you :-) seriously though, my opinion is always that we should paint in a manner which does most to preserve surface relief, because after all this is what we pay for on a model. Spray cans aren't the best solution for that, to personally, I believe that airbrush priming is always preferred. W

Is this to launch a new airbrush you sneaky devils, a black and gold Cult of paint evolution? Or was this a one off for the guys over at cult of paint, similar to gold Giraldez? It’s a great looking brush and the airspeed out of the evo is great so I hope it’s the former 😂

Well now that you've called me Captain Cryptic, I'm duty bound to point out that there are infinite hypothetical points within just one possible future. Within the context of our painting evolution, I do appreciate that this is an ultra cryptic remark! But to be serious, the fact that you refer to your "collection" of H&S airbrushes means that you already have several, and so we'd like to thank you for trusting us with your airbrushing :-)
