Thank you for such an in-depth review and demonstration. I was originally going to buy the Eclipse HP-CS (I'm a burgeoning miniature hobbyist) but this seems worth the extra cash. All the best.

Hi Rob (I knew you were Rob from the comments :D). Yesterday I got my first Iwata, an eclipse hp cs and really like it. I have used a Paasche before that and it is a great airbrush too, although it was a bit awkward using the Iwata for the first time since the pressing distance in the trigger is much less than on the Paasche. Still, didn't affect after I started painting. I want to say I really liked your video and the little maintenance routine with new airbrushes too. I did not find my needle to be so dirty as yours but there was indeed some dirt on it. I used alcohol and createx airbrush cleaner though since i dont have fast cut plus. Cheers!

Interesting review Rob and it looks a nice airbrush (not that I know anything about them 😁) you cant go wrong with Iwata as they are a big brand and put out good quality spray guns. I might be in the market for a new full size gun, I fancy something different and a change to my DV1, I was looking at the Sata X5500 RP 1.2 I setup but not sure as yet 🤔🙏👍

I've used the plus and it's great, but my workhorse is my original HP-C that I've had for 20 years. Replaced the nozzle once, and a couple of needles. It's a fricking power house.

I've got a couple of similar older Iwatas and the tiny internal O ring that the needle glides on is old and hard and the needle won't glide thru. I have some replacement O rings and have stripped the entire brush down, but can't see a way of removing the old O ring and replacing it since its so tiny and impossible to get at. So whats the method for doing this? Thanks

Great vid Rob. I have the 50th Anniversary HP-C and I love it. Proper workhorse brushes and like you said, fantastic quality.

Nice review Rob. Did you go for the HP.CPlus over the HP.CH because of price? They look like the same airbrush except for the mac valve on the latter.

I have just subscribed to your channel. Great info and tutorial👍 i have just orderd this iwata airbrush. But can you swap out the needle for a smaller type rather then having to use a different airbrush, say a 0.2 mm for even finer details ?

There won't be much in it when it comes to spraying and the Cs comes in cheaper 👍

Is there much of a difference between the HP-C Plus vs Eclipse HP-CS? Im torn between the two after using the Revolution.
@dredfxcustompaint2 жыл бұрын
I don't think you would see that much of a difference between the two on performance 🤔
@ZeppyCustoms2 жыл бұрын
@@dredfxcustompaint ok great thanks for the reply. I pulled the trigger on the HP-C Plus, should be delivered tomorrow and now I can't wait. Gonna keep the HP-C at home and put my Revolution CR in my portable setup with my new 32 psi compressor, also coming tomorrow. 👍🏽

I prefer the wrench (spanner) that comes with the iwata cleaning kit then the one that comes with the brush,broke my fluid nozel with that wrench 🤦🏻♂️

Yes they are fiddly little things it's very rare I take the nozzle out on the iwatas

3 in one is a bit to thin your best bet is the iwata superlube

I have been disappointed with my version of this. The trigger button can dislodge and it clogs up a lot compared to other brands I have used. Not impressed. My opinion.
