Summery of the tutorial Preliminary Cockpit Preparation: 1. Engine Master Switches: Check OFF 2. Engine Mode Selector: Set to NORM 3. Weather Radar Switches: OFF 4. Predictive Windshield Switches: OFF 5. Gain Knob: In CAL position 6. Multi Scan and GCS Buttons: AUTO 7. Landing Gear Lever: DOWN 8. Wiper Selector: OFF 9. Battery Voltage: Check above 25.5 volts 10. Battery Switches: Turn ON 11. External Power: Turn ON (if available) 12. Aircraft Power-Up: Wait for aircraft systems to initialize (indicated by triple click) 13. VHF Radio: • VHF 1: Active • VHF 2: Guard • Ensure switches are pulled out 14. APU Fire Test: Conduct and check ECAM 15. APU Start: Turn ON, wait 3 minutes after APU is available, then turn APU Bleed ON 16. IRS Initialization: Set ADIRU 1, 2, and 3 to NAV 17. Cockpit Lights: Adjust to match flight conditions FMS Initialization: 1. ATSU - AOC MENU: Select FLT INIT 2. INIT DATA REQ: Press 3. MCDU MENU: Select FMGS, verify aircraft and engine type, check NAV database 4. INIT Page: Press INIT REQUEST, enter flight number, and confirm IRS alignment 5. Returning to the A320 since almost a year. This series is golden, and a testament for how deep the Fenix A320 simulation truly is. You only realise this when a real airbus pilot explains the procedures. Phenomenal stuff, not a better flightsim channel on youtube than this one.

I've been doing the real airbus flows in the 320 for years however, nothing is better than good explanations from a real airbus pilot ! Amazing video as always ;)

Hi, thanks for these great tutorial videos. I always learn something new from you even though I've been using this addon for so long. However, I noticed that you always skip Cargo Smoke Detection test. So that's not a part of the normal flow, right?

11:52 does this panel generally control what is recorded by the CVR? If so, why is only the PA channel recorded here, and nothing else?

Recently I’ve been watching a lot of aircrash investigations. It’s a worry that pilots have the option to disengage flight recorders in flight. Some of these plane disasters have been murder/suicide with pilots however, no real hard evidence to prove such acts due to the flight recorder’s being turned off or tripped intentionally. Surely all flight recorders should not be able to be manipulated by pilots and always turned on.

I suppose you refer to the ability to pull the C/B, right? Well, that option simply has to be there. What if the recorder catches fire? You need to be able to cut its supply, just like with any electrical device on board.

Disabling the recorder hardly seems like much of a problem compared to crashing the plane.

Thank you! The question is: Why would they? Maintenance regularly checks it. Just like pilots don't perform the TCAS test for instance. There's many tests pilots actually don't have to perform that are just for maintenance purposes.

Hi Emi, great tutorial series! as a passenger is it still possible to have a visit in the cockpit? i have never been into one but i am not sure nowadays if this is not longer possible...

Hi, unfortunately not in flight. You can of course always ask the cabin crew during boarding or deboarding. Many airlines still make it possible on the ground.
