I have flown in the A320-200 on two US airlines, Virgin America & JetBlue, with more A320 trips on the latter

Umm... It's called telling the story. The A320 came about due to Airbus creating the A300, which is the aircraft you're talking about. It is included in the video to give context and tell the story... 👍
