As this is just a poured normal concrete slab, should you not have a vapour barrier like 8 mil plastic sheet under the concrete or even several inches of sand or gravel? You are going to have moisture problems from the concrete wicking moisture into the living space... Also the slab should have been vibrated and metal mesh should have been extended out of the existing slabs to link to the new slab... also misleading title about using aircrete...

So... Was that aircrete? It looks like a regular concrete slab. I really would like to see how it works for a second floor. I would like to make a two floor house. First floor hyperadobe earth bags, second floor geodesic dome. For the slab in between, recycled palet base in top of wooden exposed beams, with aircrete slab on top to make everything more firm. That would work as insulation as well... In theory. I'm trying to figure out if it is even possible, but I haven't found much info.

Not floating it before you finnish it? If you don't push the stones down by floating it they'll peek out in time. Another option to push the stones down is a diamond mesh roller cage which attaches to your float handles. Your experimenting is Awesome. As a mason I'm intetested in aircrete. My only wish is you would discuss the ratios of your mixes. Like 1 Portland, 1 Sand, 1 Perlite, 32 gallons foam. Do you think Roman Concrete, 1 part Hydrated (slaked) Lime to 2 parts volcanic ash, could be made into Roman AirConcrete?

I've seen people pour an aircrete slab, it probably takes longer than a month to set up? Is that why you didn't pour it in aircrete, would be insulative in winter wouldn't it? In Asia that Aussie Steve(?) They make the Geo homes. But I would think you could make sections bigger than your she'd with the rebarb, 8ft. Sections at a time. Maybe like rammed earth, leaving every other then filling in later, like you did the slab. Why not? Round windows or whatever.

This looks to be enclosed at some point. Why not use aircrete underneath it to be insulated? An orbital sander (no sand paper obviously) on the side forms may help with those air pockets also.
