Last PMDG 737 flight for a while I promise

Southwest Airlines flight 1217, Boeing 737-800 service from Jacksonville Int'l Airport (KJAX) to Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Int'l (KFLL) in the midst of a SIGMET and NWS tornado warning. Wildly illegal flight conditions but sent anyways. Recorded in Microsoft Flight Simulator on the VATSIM network. ATC was offline due to AT&T service outage.

It's just how flight simulator works, it uses real world weather. It will be flying in good weather when people are experiencing pleasant weather across the country. Guess what the weather will be like in flight simulator when there is a blizzard making it's way across the country? If you guessed, blowing snow, cold temps and overcast skies you are getting the hang of it.

Live weather is a very cool MSFS feature. What'll be even COOLER is when it gets LIVE AIR TRAFFIC. Where the planes in the air are actually representations of live aircraft in real time via ADS-B and Mode S data. The day will come when we have that.

Recently flew for the first time ever, on Southwest no less, and after watching your videos for a while now I might have been quoting you on take-off and landing. Honestly, after watching so many, it actually put my mind at ease this first time on a plane, just cause I understood the procedures. Also, that cloud break was magnificent. We had one on my return flight, and it truly was spectacular.

Fx🍀I once talked to a survivor of the Southern air crash….he wrote a book about it. I lived in AL for 25 yrs. Storms in South are rough. I was in an F5 in Nov once. Take care.

How timely that you made this video. My flight was cancelled completely on Friday and I had to wait 6 hours to hop on another one. Then today we had to add an extra hour of flight time because we were redirected around the storm system. but even then we still had moderate turbulence for a solid 40 minutes.
