It's pretty obvious that many L3 players didn't know that you can't damage modern MBTs from a distance and the secret to defeating them is to get up right next to them so they can't shoot you.

I think the biggest mistake for the modern veichles was not continuing to move. They would have had a lower chance of getting surrounded and yes while there is a 15 min time limit if you play your cards correctly you could still get them all

That final engagement looked like it was still quite tense for the MBTs. I'd be curious to see how a group of IFVs would get on, sure they have inferior armour, but their armament is much more suited to a swarm than the MBTs. The tactics in the 3rd round looked pretty clever from the MBTs, the Abrams holding down a position, presumably as the best armoured it was the Arne "I'm over here, come on kill me" with the Leclerc and T72 in a crossfire position. We didn't see much of the 4th MBT but if that was in a position to reinforce wherever needed then the MBTs were making best use of their numbers.

Incredible, the L3 used almost 0.003% of its power

The biggest problem is the lack of collision mechanics. An L3 could be knocked out by a sideswipe lol. Also the 50 cal is the gun of choice. A T72 Terminator would be the best tank to use due to the rapid fire 30 mm and the grenade launchers. Failing that the Maus is the ultimate due to the L3 not even being able to damage anything at all.

The abrams is the best tank for taking out 60l3s It has 2 machine guns and a 5 sec reload for maximum damage. It also has good reverse capability good armor on the sides. Edit: the two machine guns are 50 cals so they can easily pen the l3.

The Moderna, the leopard 2k , mbt70 and the amx30s would be very good with their 20mm and 30mm added to their main cannon,

The biggest mistakes the modern vehicles made were in positioning and coordination. Instead of sitting in a wide open area with multiple lines of approach, they should find a spot where the L3s can't easily outflank them, preferably also with their back and sides covered by stuff. Or failing that, keep outrunning the L3s and keep them at a distance. Heck, if one MBT parked in a corner with their back and one of their sides covered, they could just have another park right next to them to act as several meters of armour.

That was possibly the most fun/intimidating battle I have ever been in

probably the best strategy to take out a modern tank with L3's is probably to go to the back and keep causing engine fires after taking out tracks

I noticed in the last match the modern tanks weren't working together properly. If on the defensive they could have just let the tanks come to them and not have to deal with so many near a cap point. The more they took out the less they'd have to deal with. Pushing the spawn just ensured their loss.

And these are able to be mass produced and upgunned with modern materials, which could make the l3 a highly effective combat vehicle

I think the tip here is keep moving, move move move, destroy everything in your path, do not stop, reverse, aim and fire. Just keep moving. Ram them if you have to they will be destroyed lol

I'd expect WW2 era heavies (KV-1, Churchull, Tiger 1) to be successfull in this challenge, unlike MBTs, these have 60+ mm of armor in every direction. And if this won't work, try soviet heavies from 1950s. IS-7 would be great, with it's insane armor and 14,2 mm machine gun. HE shell from it's main gun would be capable of taking out multiple L3s at once.

Before even adjusting for the fact that the L3s are mostly noobs vs veterans tank crew for the modern tanks....The game mechanics really work against the L3s. They repeatedly took out components (like the engine) that continued to work. Likewise, there would be ammo "cook offs" that didn't actually remove ammo from the more modern tanks. Not to mention that a "real" tank crew wouldn't burn alive for 45 seconds just to save fire extinguishers and continue calmly as normal.

I'd think something with alot of 50 cals would do well, since you can sometimes pen with them.

I'm disappointed that not every L3 was made into a moving convenience store.

The moment the L3s can charge and get under the guns it's kinda over, it's like ants overpowering a predator. I think tanks with auto cannons are probably the best off, like the moderna or maybe even the Is 7 with the massive amount of HMGs.

I feel like the American M163 SPAA would be pretty fun to go against this horde of L3 children

You know everything would be cool but also a nightmare to deal with in the game if they had armor degradation meaning after each shot if you shoot the same place multiple times with the gun that can't get through eventually because it's destroying the armor and that one spot it's able to get through it because each time you shot it removes more and more the armor I think that would be really cool to add but very frustrating cuz imagine having a vehicle that normally cannot be pinned and then having just a thousand rounds or more of the shot at that same as that spot and it eventually just getting through it it would be really cool but annoying and I think they'd be a pain in the ass for the developers to to model that in so maybe it's a good thing that that doesn't happen but it's kind of sad it doesn't really make it fully realistic
