You would think that a tank that has such a long reload and requires so much skill to aim at longer ranges would be rewarding when you hit something, but I hit roof shots that do absolutely nothing with it quite a lot

Yea, no. The top-speed and acceleration are worse than 90% of its MBT counterparts, it has no reverse gear, isn't stabilised, has no gun depression and the suspension is absolutely awful. (8.7 light tank btw, same BR as the Object 279). Yea the gun's pretty okay, but it's of no use if the platform it's mounted on is incapable of getting to where it needs; other tanks at this BR or even lower in other techtrees have the same autoloader while on much better platforms with comparable main armaments. If we strictly talk about France, the Mars 15 is at a lower BR and better in most aspects; the reload is 1.5 seconds longer and lacks thermals, but the mobility is miles better, has a reverse gear and the suspension is stable. The AMX-10 is flat-out better in every aspect except the autoloader, while also at a lower BR.

I dunno, was playing my IKV 103 today and a Sherman ate 3 of its 105mm, 1.41kg TNT equivalent, HEATFS rounds (1 into the engine - understandable - , 2nd and 3rd to the side of the turret) before someone else finished it off.

@@corsairsofnarshaddaa Overpressure doesn't really effect closed top vehicles in War Thunder. When talking about open top, then yeah, HEAT does seem to overpressure now. Most people don't bother to bring HEAT at the BRs where you actually find open topped vehicles, but it is very effective these days

Its not bad. Like at all. Its a but slow but the gun is holy hell steong at its BR. With decent depression you can use it extremly effectivly.

@@robertharris6092 for me personally with the slow speed and paper thin armor makes it a giant magnet for CAS, i have definitely died more times to a plane then to an actual tank

​@@UserMax9 Any half competent player tend to die to cas as opposed to tank. I hate that thing. AP and ahpe usually pass straight through. HE some times does not overpressure correctly. In return it just sling a lolpen round aim at center mass.

The only problem with the Waffentrager is the fact that, whenever the Americans are in the game, the sky is packed with P-47s and anything open topped gets shredded in 5 seconds
