I purchased one of your radio and receiver combos a while back a RDS8000 with 92824 2.4ghz receiver. I have used them successfully until toady, when, during flight preparations of one of my models, after a couple of hrs of setup, when it worked flawlessly, It just lost contact suddenly. The BEC is a castle creations, very high quality unit, and is putting out exactly 5v. When the problem occurred, the model was on, and it just stopped responding to the controls. the battery has about 70% charge, so i know it' snot a voltage issue. i plugged it into a separate model to power it up, and verify if it was good, or if the model had a problem. It flashes, in both models, once when it is first plugged in, but then nothing. I tries in aero mode, with both side switches in normal mode, to bind the receiver again, as i did when i first bought it. I held the bind button not he receiver, and while holding it, powered up the receiver. the transmitter was already on, and the blue bind light was solid. when the blue light started flashing on the receiver, i let up on the button, and pushed the bind button on the transmitter, within less than 10 seconds. The light on the receiver went out, and i cannot achieve bind. I have the manual, from when i purchased it new, and it had never had problems, or any damage. it has simply failed. I have spent many hours programing all of the parameters of all of my models into the transmitter, and now i can't be sure if the transmitter or the receiver is faulty. This is extremely frustrating, as i am trying to do some airframe development, and need a reliable control system. I suspect that the receiver is bad, and looked online, to find that they cost about 1/2 the value of a new system. just the receiver! and to have one fail like that, does not inspire confidence. Iooking online at the forums, i am not the only one to have this problem. I also connected a different brand receiver into the plane in questions, and it is working flawlessly. The problem is, that system does not have the mixing functions that i need to fly the model, for that i have been counting on the RDS8000. I have a lot of time invested in the programming, and will have to conduct many hours of travel, driving to the field, expense, and time to get back to the point where i am right now, unless i can get another compatible receiver that works. at this point, i am not willing to invest more money into a system that has failed in such a way. I would be happy if i simply had anther receiver that is compatible with the RDS8000 2.4ghz transmitter. My email address is fpvreviews@gmail.com Thanks for your prompt resolution to this problem. Yes the display is backlit I wish I could have one but I'm only 15 and is too expensive for me to buy.
