Not to mention sue for the vet bills, because the op likely had to rush the dog to an emergency vet since it was 7pm when she found him. They're lucky they only got kicked out, i wouldve demanded compensation, and if i didn't get it, i'd invite them back over next year and take that money back from their wallets

Right not the a.h I would have been livid to find my pet in that condition absolutely enraged ,then to have film of them being sadistic little beasts ,awe heck no get out of my place n do not come back you are no longer welcome I love my year old great Dane puppy if someone had done that to him intentionally I would have spent the night in jail for assault period

I would have pressed charges for both animal abuse and property damage and banned them from my house some people just don't care like that

Maybe they should have. Since the sister's family didn't have money for hotel, they could have free lodging in jail and maybe even free flight home

Post the video to the family group chat. Let them know you could have reported them for animal abuse. Make sure you are with the dog when you let them outside as long as they are there. Change your locks.

NTA and send out a group text, to anyone standing up for your sister and her demons, let them know that they are longer welcome to stay at your home when they visit the USA. They are more than welcome to go get a motel. Your dog almost died because of those kids and they would never be welcome in my home after that, and let's not forget how the intentionally broke your prized possession. With evidence that they did it intentionally, and the mother's response was just wow

Ntah if the parents don’t see that their kids are horrible troublemakers and that’s their own fault. They almost killed a puppy I’m pretty sure that would be considered animal abuse trapping in a garage with no water in that super hot and if they broke that and their parents don’t care then you don’t have to care about them having to leave

Show them the camera footage and say "so you support this kind of behavior? You support kids leaving a animal in the garage with no water or AC? you support kids destroying your stuff? Would you like it if i did this to you?"

NTA because the children's actions can't be taken lightly and the parents need to take responsibility for it down the line without getting upset about it and if they're unwilling to do so then expose them to other family members right away.
