NTA. He pays rent, but that doesn't give him any say in how the house is run. He's only a BF, not a husband. If he has a problem with the house he can move out. Even if he doesn't, he doesn't sound like someone OP should ever get engaged to, never mind married.

I think this is an NTA, however I disagree with your point. I believe if you have any SO they should have a say in decisions that affect you both, and if you can’t come to agreements then break up.

LMAO I like to see him try that logic with someone else he is renting from. Also besides some choice products you can't give them, generally chickens can basically eat anything food scrap wise and is a good way to reduce food waste along with giving them normal feed.

Lol my neighbors have chickens and they are so loud and they also have 3 Basset hounds and they howl and bark at 3am😅

NTA, the girl's not wrong for wanting her house to be the stuff of her dreams. but when you enter a relationship, you also take on the responsibility of consideration and care; not taking care of your SO but rather caring about your SO. it's just a shame that dude's not asking her to sit down with him at any point to talk this stuff out with her.

But is it his house? He doesn't even pay fair market for rent. He lives there with a significant discount. He thinks that because he sleeps with his land lady, that he can tell her what to do. NTA.
