You weren’t even giving her a chance?! The fact that you honestly expressed your feelings about her repeatedly and still tried to be civil even though she was essentially harassing you… sorry. I had a slightly similar situation with someone, but fortunately our mutual friends were enthusiastically advising him to not make any overtures, telling him that she (I) am definitely not interested and that won’t change… It sucked. I had to basically cut myself off from a new friend whose company I enjoyed because he wouldn’t accept reality. (I hope he’s doing okay.) Definitely open up some better lines of communication with your other friends so that something like this doesn’t happen again.
