@@davemcg915 yeah thats what i mean, he has a pop style, i don't like his music either tbh. i think the uk accents can take some getting used to if you're used to american rap though. It was originally a bit like that for me

@@davemcg915 not sure if there is a uk equivalent to that, soundwise. (i think giggs talkin da hardest is on a dre beat actually but thats not really g funk) im not really into much uk drill, so idk if thats the sound you're not into when you say uk rap, i prefer grime personally. so for grime, dizzee rascal- boy in da corner, jme- integrity, skepta- konnichiwa and wiley- godfather is prob the best i've heard. people hype up kano too, but i still have to check out a lot of his stuff. im also quite into slowthai, he's more uk hip hop. again though, not really the same style as 90s west coast rap, you wouldn't hear those synth leads or that flow, so it really would depend on what other stuff you're into. i definitely prefer all that stuff than someone like aitch though. edit: + im way more into the new york style 90s hip hop than west coast, so i would imagine we have quite different tastes
