A woman asks for clarity on the concept of ajātivāda, which is said to be the highest non-dual understanding. How does this idea - that nothing exists, not even an appearance of the world - fit in with non-duality and the Pathless Path?
Rupert says: ‘Ajātivāda is an attempt to describe reality from the point of view of infinite consciousness. From the point of view of the finite mind, we see a multiplicity and diversity of objects. But prior to its apparent localization of itself as a finite mind, infinite consciousness cannot know any creation. We cannot be something and know it at the same time. So, we say consciousness is the reality of this multiplicity and diversity, but it does not know it. Infinite consciousness is the universe, but the finite mind knows the universe.
‘You can experience this every time you ask yourself a question such as, “Who am I really?”. Trace your way back through all the layers of experience until you arrive at your experience of your self prior to experience. That recognition of your own being - where there is no thought, perception, time or space - is infinite consciousness’s knowledge of itself. I’m not talking about an experience that some remote, infinite consciousness knows but the experience that shines at the very heart of your self. Your knowledge of your self is infinite consciousness’s knowledge of itself, prior to experience.’

The synchronicity of this is SPOOKY - I was doing my usual meditation but then realised that I was just being an ego that was meditating, then realised I was watching the ego meditating, then realised if I can watch the ego meditate I can withdraw my attention away from the ego in the same way I withdraw attention from the body, mind and world, and in that moment everything ceased and there was Nothing.

Well I think that's why they call them glimpses. It's kind of a zero-sum game when you can't use words to describe something that you can't describe 🤪 check out Tim Cliss, he is so resolute about this very conundrum. Plus I think if you don't have a sense of humor about it you're really doomed to suffer.

That's child's play. When I for the very first time meditated (by observing my thoughts and letting them come and go) for just like 8 minutes I entered another dimension which would last over 1 year. Nothing is not a thing. You mean God. Not only is God the Witness of your experience and all things, God is your very direct experience, your very visual field, God just IS. I have submitted myself to God and His Will so much, and I have got trained so intensively and immensely in consciousness, it's almost like God can do miracles through me soon. I am elected, for spiritual brutality. I am Moses and King Solomon.

It's spelled AJĀTAVĀDA, that is, the third vowel is an "a" not an "I" - as Rupert and his guest correctly pronounce the word throughout the video. Of course, there are no capital letters in Sanskrit, so it's ajātavāda.

Ajatiwada Above/untouched/non movable non affected by "Time-space matter" is consciousness/knowledge/being The one who knowing, experiencing all , it will be different(knower) For instance I have mobile phone 📱 I who knows it means I'm not phone I'm diffrent from it(any obj,things) If any matter exists then it must have been built at some "Time" And it will be situated in some "space/base/location" And it ll be "End" oneday to it's origin matter for instance house built on specific date/day/yy (time),on land/region(space) bricks cement etc (matter) but this is all called "process" hence we feel this way I'll b born I'll b grow I'll b die but if we look at wide perspective thers hasn't born or die anything ,it's feel like one due to the process / sequence but the one who experienced all this process is different/untouchables/eternal/ immortal/ from time space matter it hasn't comes or go anywhere ,Except consciousness everything else comes under time space matter incl body... ✌🏻

What memory you might have in deep sleep, nothing is there. Deep sleep is absence of limited mind and physical universe. @user-ld9sl9ko7g
@user-ld9sl9ko7g 5 күн бұрын
@@dalialik8376 Mind does directly know the dream world, because the character in the dream that the mind creates is also just a part of the same dream. However, mind is just deluded in believing the dream world to be real and believes itself to be the character that it sees in the dream world. Nevertheless, it’s still the mind that sees the entire dream directly, regardless of it’s delusion. Anyway, this analogy does not represent the subject accurately, because surely, finite mind’s limitations cannot be applied to the infinite?
@dalialik8376
@dalialik8376 5 күн бұрын
@@user-ld9sl9ko7gthe mind cannot know itself directly, it is impossible, any more than your eyes can see itself directly. So the dream analogy is very accurate, the dream character believes the dream is real until you wake up in the morning and realize it was just a dream. We believe that we are separate entities living in the physical universe until we awaken.

I really had to think about this statement, too: You cannot BE yourself and KNOW it. Then I realized that no one can understand this because the mind has no mechanisms to understand this. I had to go inside and experience it (not comprehend it) to see that the statement is true. I believe Rupert is referring to if ‘God’ is all being, then he cannot know himself. ‘God’ can only know the world (and himself) through the illusion of separate selves. Confusing, too, but I get it if I experience it, not when I try to comprehend it.

If i may, I believe he is saying that we are eternal (spiritual) beings that were not born and will not die. The bodies we inhabit in order to experience this physical material reality are what "are born and die," but we are not those physical things. Just like we are not the avatar that we play in a video game. We do not die when the avatar dies. We simply choose another avatar and go on.

Maybe you could think of it like birth = when your specific timeline begins and the finite world begins to exert conditions. What! quote; " infinite consciousness" " experience of itself" " is", this teacher hasn't a clue. There is no such thing as infinite consciousness and if there was, then what is its faculty. Like the human has the physical brain as the faculty for mind and consciousness and all of that is derived from a Source Form which implemented mind ,consciousness only as a tool of use. Even Ajativada belief that the ABSOLUTE is not subject to birth, change and death. The Absolute is Aja the UNBORN which is all nonsense because the ABSOLUTE is not explained nor how Aja is the UNBORN. Ajativada beliefs has missed the boat. Basically you your lineage inception was FORMED not BORN. That what FORMED is the ABSOLUTE of Ajativada but that what FORMED is known because that FORMED SOURCE derived from and manifested from the elements of the Universe and transcended to then have a symbiotic relationship with Biology to give rise to the intelligent species. You will never arrive at Experience of yourself nor prior to experience unless you have the understanding of the knowledge how your lineage FORM inception derived. There is no empty void of yourself because your FORM iteration function operates 24/7 for it's purpose of survival and evolve it's host the physical body and brain, how do you think you lineage has come thus far, definitely not by consciousness. You bet your Source Form is conscious of death, so allow it to enlighten you of it's Presence.
