My mom was a talented animator and artist, but with mental health issues holding her back. She died four months ago, I struggled to make or create anything since. The start of this song sounds like the encouragement she'd always give me and reminded me to make things so darn big and expressing, that the world won't forget. This song helps me remember that she was proud of me.

I find the cover of this album so symbolic. Like in Living Room, they were sitting, just doing nothing. In The Click, they were walking on a path of piano keys, exploring. Neotheater, which may be their last album, they're sitting on (something that might be) the end of the path of piano keys, relaxing, and making their best music.

I love how this whole album sounds like they're telling a story.

If y’all have yet to see them, this has to be the most beautiful incredible opening to any show ever. All i could do was scream and sing. If you’ve never felt joy before for some reason, you definitely will when you see these guys in concert.

I have a brother, his name is Gavin. Gavin doesn’t go to get-together’s, isn’t very outgoing, and is generally disliked by my whole family. However, I see him in a completely different light. Gavin is a very kind, thoughtful, and intelligent person despite his oddities. He’s taught me a lot. Way more than even my dad or mom could dream of. And he’s simply pushed down by circumstance. He loves AJR. And roughly four years ago, he showed me this song for the first time. I vividly remember it. And it is one of my “core memories” Every time I listen to this song I think of Gavin. And all the positive things I’ve learned from him.

Omg 2:10 is literally me. So much of my personality is linked to me being the smart shy kid at school so the thought of no longer having any of that any more is terrifying to me

It occurred to me back in 2019 when neotheater came out that The Good Part and Next Up Forever are two songs that give opposite perspectives of the same situation. One sings of being tired of waiting for something good to happen, and wanting to 'skip to the good part' while the other sings of knowing that once the good part comes, nothing better will come after, and so wanting to be 'next up forever' rather than just hitting their peak and then falling. Two viewpoints, two songs, both very well written!

Perfect timing guys, this released right after a nasty rejection from a girl that loved me back. It happened back when the album released, but I wanted to say thank you now for the music that helped me keep my head high and forget all about her, but have to admit, still kind of stings when I come back to it.

This song has a special bohemian rhapsody and the greatest showman vibe to it with modern effects
