Nobody was gonna do that interview. The music isn’t an excuse. It’s a false equivalency really. What Tax was saying in response to Adam is that there was no other reason to interview that kid. It’s not like he was somebody before he killed Pop and there’s some sort of redemption story to tell. He had nothing to do with hip hop so a hip hop platform had no reason to sit down with him.

#OfficeHours This is the World Hunger v World Peace mf lol Keep doing your thing fellas, this is one of the better episodes in my opinion because it forces us to really question our morals as it relates to the music we listen to and what we continue to accept culturally. I think one thing that should be acknowledged however is that just because something happens often, it doesn't mean that people will accept it or de-sensitize themselves to it. So to AJ's question of why so many people are outraged at Adam interviewing Pop Smoke's killa even though Adam's actions have remained consistent around interviews similar to this, my response is that the shock factor remains because people will not accept these actions as "ok" or "usual". Just like verbal racism - verbal racism may not make you pop out and show ninjas but I think we all know a few who are just waiting to pop the trunk for any reason. Podcasting is an art form yes but if life imitates art and art imitates life, what would podcasting look like without any form of morals in place. Just something to think on, love the show and the new set fellas.
