2 жыл бұрынWatch the AKASH MISSILE LAUNCH by the Indian Air Force, destroying the target. The Akash is a mid-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) system built by India’s state-owned Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Akash missiles are designed to be launched from static or mobile platforms such as battle tanks and wheeled trucks, providing flexible deployment. It can handle multiple targets and destroy manoeuvring targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles, fighter aircraft, cruise missiles and missiles launched from helicopters.
The missile is capable of destroying aircraft within the range from 30km to 35km, and at altitudes up to 18,000m. It renders multidirectional and multi-target area defence. It can carry conventional and nuclear warheads weighing up to 60kg.

Yes, let's also add guns, countermeasures, RWR, HUD, and even a cockpit to these missiles. Bru what are you on about. Do you know how missiles work? Akash has a ground radar system capable of tracking multiple targets and fire multiple missiles at the same time. What will you do giving this capability to the missile itself? It's not like it will split into multiple missiles if it sees multiple targets.

That needs a complete testing range that can't be in a public place. Rather we can see the capabilities of radars as they are able to detect such a low RCS target

This is basically Russian Kub anti aircraft missile. Even in it's basic form, it is still nasty due to ramjet propulsion and enormous velocity of the missile. Modernized an newer versions are still a menace for planes...

When the proximity fuze caused the explosion in path of msl_6000 metal fragments are thrown out in all directions.very few can cause plane to crash...like 4_5...the drum had hits.....

Test a real time scenario.. missiles mounted on tank chassis or some 6-8 wheeler.. and on the fly / real time gets notification to engage an aerial threat..all this while it is raining or snowing.. in the current setup it looks like a setup - perfect position.. no circular motion or correction in elevation..

There is a smoke cloud where proximity fuse is claimed to have detonated by the commentator but the way the missile continues in a controlled manner seems to indicate otherwise, it seems a possible miss. Also the said cloud is too close and Akash being a decently long range should be shown to be hitting targets further away.

Thats not the proximity fuze but the Ramjet kicking in. You can see the missile going forward and later in the video there is a boom sound indicating detonation. Missiles don't have multiple detonation capability.
