I have and love these headphones. I own many and have been testing a number on writing. I am a big Sennheiser fan but did love the sound from the K712 from the first day. Over the last couple of weeks they have just kept getting better the more they burn in. Yes they are power hungry and no good on a mobile device. I got the IFI Zen Dac which they did sound great with but I was finding I needed to go past 12 oclock on the dial to or it was quiet on alot of tracks. So added the IFI Zen Can amp to the Dac (Connected with a 4.4 Balanced cable), and now wow they sound fantastic as they can be driven with ease now. I have tried them with Amazon Music HD and Tidal Premium (MQA) both were excellent. I highly recommend these headphones. Shame they don't have a balanced option too. Oh and amazing comfort they feel like my old Sennheiser Ovation 2's from many years ago and they cost much more at the time. And if anyone says there is no bass it's not true but you will need to use them a bit to get the best out of them, the range and soundstage is like nothing I have heard before, very impressive. I like Jazz, Classica, Dance, R&B and anything in between. So a wide range and these to justice to all genres. My M50X's sound so bad after I wear this for a bit. These are one of the best headphones I have owned ever and I have had many.

These are a really great set of headphones.

they are amazing and I'm driving them with my tube amp set to high gain 300-600 ohm, set for my HD600 but K712 are just the same power hungry and results are very good better than my solid-state amp

Will my Audio Interface Presonus Quantum 2626 drive these headphones?, The specs says Headphone Impedance (working range) 16Ω to 300Ω Thanks.

I only payed 125 quid for mine new from Amazon, they will be here Monday. I will tell you if the G6 will power them ,it's 16 ohm to 600 ohm of balanced sound!

Good set of headphones but yea, you need an amp to reach their full potential. What amp did you use?

I have these(Austrian made: 011449) is this a new pair because I don't have the packaging that says '+3db' ? The pads are amazing but overall these things are built horribly. - they creaked when they were new - the leather headband is super stiff and does not conform to the shape of the head - the suspension system wears out very quickly and the pads slide down to rest the full weight of the headphone on the top of your ears I really have to find a way to replace these elastic wires from the suspension system The soundstage is amazing and my definite pick for any orchestral (soundtrack) recordings but I was very glad I picked this up for 100 EUR secondhand instead of around 300 new

I've got these, I don't have a dedicated headphone amp and I listen to them via the headphone output on my Cyrus One integrated amp. They're not my cup of tea. They're too analytical. I like a warmer sound I think I may sell them on. What would you suggest for a warmer sound in the £300-ish price range?

How do these compare to the legendary HD800s

I had these for a bit and sold them on. Much prefer the Philips Fidelio X2s.

Does the mini XLR cable mean it’s a balanced headphone? I assumed that cables going to each ear cup meant it’s balanced.
