In Japan, there are strict requirements for building a vehicle and using it on public roads. Individuals who build their own vehicles have a high probability of not passing the inspection. However, if the vehicle is 250 cc or less, the standards are lowered and the vehicle can be used on public roads.

Congratulation on this build, its a beauty, how does it drive and turn and how comfortable is it to drive ?

Ah, explains the absence of a hayabusa, but a neat way to get around the rules. Great build though mate, love it.

Well. Now, get in the prototype and head to Borgo Panigale in Bologna (Italy). There is a rather well-known motorcycle manufacturer that could find the prototype extremely interesting …
@imperialdra-mon5907Ай бұрын
@@supposedlygreg prob not lol its a cool build but not very practical for a bike
@Bones-uu6zpАй бұрын
@@michelebecciu9698 ABSOLUTELY A WISE THING TO DO !!! - I WOULD CERTAINLY CONSIDER BUYING THAT ! IT'S AWESOME AND THE KICK STAND RETRACTING INTO THAT PANEL IS COOL ! - - INSTEAD OF THE ORIGINAL RED COLOR IN "AKIRA" IT WOULD WORK WITH A STEALTH JOB FOR MILITARY PEOPLE😂 BUT WITH THE NICE COLORS OF TODAY, AND THE SURFACE AREA ON THIS BIKE, THE POSSIBILITIES ARE MANY INDEED !!!!! THIS IS A SHOW STOPPER !!! [ the plain silver metal is definitely hiding it's true potential and SHOCK VALUE ⚡💥

The Kaneda bike is a cyberpunk icon and a passion of million of people, congratulations for making your own original bike inspired on it, success for you my boy.
Huge respect and admiration for people who can create such machines by themselves, especially motorcycles with such complicated suspension geometries. My main concern would be 'how do I align the front and rear tracks' LOL. This is marvelous! congratulations!
@bennyb.17422 ай бұрын
Pretty easily with custom offset wheels. The difficult part is fitting that double A-arm and knuckle style steering inside of the wheel barrel while still being able to steer! This one is really well done.
@ritochit2 ай бұрын
@@bennyb.1742 that's what baffles me the most. There's the custom offset on the wheels, there's the double A-arm suspension and knuckle style steering ..... Like how do you manage to maintain the front and rear track? 😄 This is nothing short of rocket science for me 😅
@thomaswakefield68892 ай бұрын
there's 2 ways to align the wheels. 1st is by frame center alignment, by this I mean you align both front and back wheels centerline with the centerline of the frame, which also means that the front control arms need to be perfectly centered on the frame. the 2nd way is by installing adjustable cams that allow for precise centering of the wheels

I have no idea how did you managed to blend Kaneda bike and retro-futuristic vide but man. It's working great, great looking machine and awesome piece of engineering! Cheers from Poland!
Simply amazing, your ingenuity is not limited to designing on paper or in 3D but you make it real. Akira fans applaud like seals, it's a shame you didn't install a 1000 cc engine in that work of art, I'm sure some megalomaniacal collector would have bought it from you for a fortune.

This should actually get in production. We desperately need motorcycles like these. With a little more R&D we can even have a storage compartment in this. We can also go for an electric version of this motorcycle. This is the future.

as someone who builds and fabricates racing machines as well, i say "respect!" I particularly like how you designed the front headlight, which earlier made me realize Kaneda was lucky the street lights were always on because there were no lights on his bike. wonderful work! Stainless is brutal to work with
@TDOBrandano2 ай бұрын
If you look at the "Kaneda drift" clip in the anime (which incidentally is one of the most "quoted" scenes in action movies) you can see that the bike has a front light at the base of the bubble windshield. Looks like it's the same in the Manga (The scene where they reach the edge of the crater), though the Anime version is squared and the Manga version is an half circle.

awesome work. you have to give it the original paintjob ! it`s a must ! again, gorgeous machine !
@Torsion2 ай бұрын
I feel like they wanted the stainless look. If they were going to paint it, they wouldn't have went through the added cost/pain in the rear of working with specifically stainless steel. (Personally, I think the added weight of all of those steel body panels makes this thing heavy and wonder how lighter materials would affect it's handling and low speed maneuverability. However, the added weight may be a positive, because it adds enough weight to force the suspension into moving. lightweight components can sometimes flex before the stiffer suspension components. Obviously, you want something soft enough that ever pebble doesn't rattle your teeth; but stiff enough that it doesn't feel unstable.)
