Akona Ndungane - Brilliant Finisher

For over 10 years Akona Ndungane was the solid piece in a Bulls backline that scored many, many tries on their way to three Super Rugby titles. Ndungane wasn't as explosive as Bryan Habana, but he was an incredibly intelligent player who knew how to position himself in support to ensure he is in place to score a try.
He scored many tries for the Bulls and here is a collection of the best of them.

One of the most underrated wingers of his generation. Not a flashy player, which may have cost him, but a very consistent and good player

It's about time! I've waited to see a video tribute him or maybe his twin at least. He was very under-rated no doubt. He, Habanna and Roets were no doubt the BEST back 3 the Bulls had.

Awesome to see this video. Takes me back to 2009/10 when the Bulls won the Super 14! Akona scored a try in the semi final at Loftus in 2009 against the Crusaders. The Crusaders bit the dust that day! Fantastic rugby by Victor, Fourie, Pierre, Habana and the Bulls team... 💙🏉

@@greylynnjr Yep! Who will ever forget those 10 minutes before half time, with Pierre flying through the Crusader backs to score that magnificent try all on his own! And Morne kicking 3 drop goals! Yes! Fabulous memories... from a huge Bulls fan. 🤗🏉

@@animekawaiichan9399 I do agree with you. Morne such a safe, dependable flyhalf and kicker. Olivier took the gaps and scored tries. Kirchner a very safe fullback. Habana scoring that brilliant try in the 2009 S14 final... incidently, Ian Foster was the coach of The Chiefs when the Bulls annihilated them in the 2009 S14 final. 🤔 and now he's back as the NZ coach. Makes you wonder...

In the 02 - 10 era it was always Hugh Bladen commentator talisman. Fourie to Hougard/Steyn to Olivier to Nel to Ndungane is OVER the line.

How about a tribute to the worst players such as Earl Rose, Hilton Lobberts, Marius Delport, etc. I tried to find some of their dumb moments to reminisce but no such luck.

Not my vibe to focus on "bad" players. Its someone's opinion whether a player was good or not. Every player who at least played at Currie Cup level is twice the player I ever was, so I'll never make a video like that
