In this video, Sammy goes through his best tips on how to get the most out of you Akubra fur felt hat, including cleaning, storing and holding your hat, and the best tips to avoid shrinking the hat.
The hat he is using for the video is the Akubra Coober Pedy in Sand. This hat features a Kangaroo leather hatband and with an Opal inset in the side, in honour of the famous outback Opal mining town of the same name.

I love my Coober Pedy in sand. I'm buying another Akubra in a darker colour. I'm trying to find a tear drop pinched crown like the Cattleman but with full lining. Is there such a hat?

G'Day, My Akubra (Tableland in sand color I think) has spotty mould all over it. I wear it at the beach all summer. I have tried finding ways to get rid of it, I tried the 3/4 vinegar and water, now my hat just smells like vinegar and it didn't do anything. Have you any advice on getting rid of this? Thanks

If you've happened to find a fine hat, in a pub...collect it, and turn it in, to the barkeep! (if he's honest!) If an Aussie finds you, having stolen his Akubra...you're going to end up, one dead bloke! :-)

Anti-clockwise .. I've heard that. However ... I wonder if you are recording mirror-image because you first brushed with the sponge in a direction that appeared to be clockwise.
