I met him at Roscoes Chicken and Waffles in Hollywood several years back. He was with his son and he was mad cool. Very humble and even took pictures with my family visiting from out of town. They were hoping to see a celebrity and there he was.

New Jack Swing - ahhhhhhhh takes me back decades when I was a teenybopper and I had a Terence Trent Darby poster on my wall; the pressing issues of the day were what I could take from my older sister's wardrobe without her knowing and having enough hair spray to backcomb my fringe for school the next day💖

This song is soooo smooth. Al B. Sure was one of the only guys that could get away with having a unibrow. He named his son, Quincy, after Quincy Jones who he formed a great relationship with. Speaking of Al B. and Quincy Jones..."Secret Garden" anyone?

Man, 1988 was definitely a HOT summer with this jam on the radios and on MTV....if any guy was trying to holler at any girls back that year, he had to have not just Al B Sure's tape, but also New Edition, Bobby Brown, Keith Sweat and Guy's albums just as well...when you were jammin' those tapes, you had no problems finding the pretty girls...they flocked to you! And it looks like you were spellbound by his looks, I caught you! 👍🏿😁🎵🎶

Sure I would recommend "Off on Your Own (Girl)", and a blow you away version of "Killing Me Softly". Everything Tony Ramirez said, and I would add "Little Walter", "The Blues", "Whatever You Want", and "(Lay Your Head on My) Pillow" by Tony! Toni! Toné! and to go with "Casanova" Club Nouveau's "Why You Treat Me So Bad" and there version of "Lean On Me" (do Bill Withers and compare... anything by Bill Withers would be great), also they had a song called "Jealousy" which is an answer to Timex Social Club's hit "Rumors" (another good one), in which Timex Social Club had disbanded and basically reformed as Club Nouveau. Also, Anything by Bobby Brown alone... except the Ghostbuster's one, anything by Guy, anything by Keith Sweat, etc.
