People seem to forget that the Sox had like 6 major injuries this year and had to win with a platoon of minor leaguers and random free agent signings

@@TomServo101 people tend to forget that the entire AL Central was held down by platoon players. I still look at Chicago's the weakest American League team going into the playoffs. With their injuries, swap them out with the Orioles and they would have been a fifth place team in the AL east.

I hate how everyone turned on him tbh. I still have a lot of love for Mercedes and think he would be one of the best bats off the bench. It would help his case if he could play defense though.

@@blankname6629 i wouldn't mind that. I think he could definitely have a good stint in the mlb whether he's traded or not. He just needs to get all the mental aspects figured out. If the NL adds the DH soon I can see him being a DH in the NL.

Because I’m respectful, and don’t dislike the Cubs, even though I’m a white sox fan. And by the way, the white Sox haven’t been “sub par”. They were the best team in baseball at one point.

Geez, how many walk-off wins is that this year?? That catch by Hamilton in Minnesota was ridiculous, and that Field of Dreams game is still considered the best regular season game ever played in MLB history (bar none). I hope they continue to play well in the playoffs. Congrats to the White Sox for clinching the division!

@@blankname6629 That was 2005. These aren't the same teams. The Astros are a little better than the White Sox (so far), but we will see what happens when (or if) they meet in the playoffs. Remember, the Astros are still trying to win homefield over the Rays. It's not over yet.

I really miss Nicky 2 strikes, but it would have been a risk to keep him. Who knows how well he would be when he comes back from that knee injury. I really wish we would have traded for Eduardo Escobar or Trevor Story. Either way GO WHITE SOX!!

They don't need him. Where's he gonna play? The White Sox have two left fielders who can start there (Jimenez and Vaughn), they have two catchers (Grandal and Collins...or even Zavala), they have three guys who can play first base (Abreu, Grandal, Vaughn), and they have three guys or four who can DH (Abreu, Vaughn, Grandal, Sheets). Give us one good reason why the White Sox should bring Mercedes back for the playoffs?
