Hi everyone - our website foundation4schoolmusic.org/AlJarreau holds more great content, including a way to donate in Al Jarreau's honor, as indicated in official statements from Al Jarreau's management and major media outlets. The extraordinary high volume of traffic to our site today is causing the site to crash. We are hoping you'll keep trying to visit the website as we are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Well Prince was GAY. SEXUAL IN Nature.. The Total OPPOSITE OF AL JARREAU. THIS WORLD ONLY APPRECIATES, RECOGNIZES AND PROMOTES EVIL, AND NON NORMAL BEHAVIOR. IF YOU LIKE MULTIPLE SEXES AT THE SAME TIME HELP YOURSELF BUT THE FACT Remains BEING GAY OR AS THEY CALL IT BISEXUAL IS A TREND A COLD EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE CATCHING. BUT THIS MAN Al Jarreau Had no CONFUSIONS, AND DEFINITELY DID NOT PROMOTE HOMOSEXUALITY. HE WAS A CLEAN CUT, STRAIGHT MAN WHO LOVED LIFE, MUSIC AND HAD A PURE HEART.❤ SO AS FAR AS BEING HONORED LIKE PRINCE I FIND THAT FUNNY AND IMPOSSIBLE. PRINCE DIDNT COME CLOSE TO HIM!!!!

For some unknown reason , Mr Al Jarreau came and sang in a tiny community centre in a rather bad suburb of Bordeaux in 2014 .there were about 70 people in audience. Some did not even know him. I had seen/ heard him twice prior to this in giant théâtres in Paris. Big moment and long conversation after concert.

It is has been difficult for me (like many others) to accept this tremendous loss. His music was so full of life, energetic and inspirational as it helped me go thru many dark moments in life. What a great human being. It is people like him that makes our lives and the world, a better place to be. Bless you, Al Jarreau, thanks for giving us the pleasure and honor of having you in our lives. I just imagine, the heavens must be having a good time right now, what a party....

How happy I am to have seen him in Amsterdam last year during his Ellington songbook tour. He looked frail, entering stage in a wheelchair, but his voice, his humor and his wonderful stories made you forget all about that. All you saw was a beautiful man, an artist with an incredible voice, singing with his heart and soul. And cheeky as well! 'So someone is wearing a very nice perfume.... Ah, you! Don't you want to come and sit on Uncle Al's lap?' :-D Simply wonderful to remember him like this. I will play his records till the day I die...

A True Legend is gone, but his music will live on forever...

I think Al’s Moonlighting song was bigger than the show. I remember watching the show as a kid. It was ok. But I tuned in mostly to hear Al’s song. Al was a wonderful person. He used to frequent The Times Jazz and Supper Club in Studio City with his wife Susan, along with singer Bill Henderson, composer/performer Bill Withers and myriad great jazz performers in Los Angeles and we did his Album Release party at The Times around 1975. I booked talent and performed there. Al was the most gentle and kind soul and we were all friends. Irene Kral used to sing there as well. It was a wonderful place with great music and great people used to hang out there. Noreen Jackson

Thank you, Kevin Thays, for uploading. I noticed that it was published on Oct. 20, 2016...just a few months short of Al's passing. (;o)* I was lucky to have interviewed Al Jarreau (in the eighties), and to have seen some of his live performances, besides having been invited out to dinner during one of his tours. Now you are part of another cluster of Stars, way up, beyond the great wide blue, continuing with your unique scat genius, and more. Farewell... Melody Fox (aka the Princess of Rock) Love Peace Music
