Fake. Hypocrite who earns very well from his audience who are the very people he satirizes, little Englanders who think he's celebrating them when actually they're being mocked and they don't see it. It's the 'Alf Garnett' syndrome.

It just a comedy mate, no one takes offence it all done in good humour, and no where near the level of Alf Garnet who also was just a comedy character, portrayed by Warren Mitchel who was Jewish himself, I think the trouble is with the modern times is it’s too PC instead of just seeing the joke, and have a laugh.

@@wilkywilky7814 Hi Wilky, i think you're missing the point of what I said. I don't think the pub landlord is as offensive as Alf Garnett. And frankly, I couldn't care less about that. This is not an argument about political correctness. This is a question of a comic who satirizes the core beliefs of his audience - who think that they're being celebrated as he does it. And that, to me, is a bit snide and not nice.

Oh dear Jack, you've missed the goal entirely with that one. The target audience are in on the joke. We know it's satire, we're laughing at ourselves and those we know. We've all got an acquaintance, family member or bloke at the local who is a version of Al and he intentionally takes it to the extreme for comic affect. If the audience were unaware and not in on the joke I'd agree, but we are. Take care
