Al Pacino explains how he uses his voice to create a a character that allows him to transform for his roles and tells the story of how he got tapped for "The Irishma." He explains what it takes for him to prep a role that's based on a real person like Jimmy Hoffa or Frank Serpico compared to fictional characters.

Pacino is such a gracious man. When he won an award for his wonderful performance as Roy Cohn in Angels in America, he took a moment to recognize the two actors who essayed the same role: Ron Leibman and F. Murray Abraham. Now that is class! Bravo, Al Pacino for your art and your humility.

Great to see an artist of Al Pacino's stature just quietly break down aspects of his craft so freely. His insights around 3:29 about the changes in the way actors prepare from when he started out was fascinating. He has remained someone who works hard and honestly at what he does. Respect.

Is it just me or does Al Pacino seem like a genuinely reasonable and respectful human being? If it’s not an act, he’s one of only a handful of ultra-famous people who are. Tom Hanks is another good one. Both of them seem to have a healthy amount of humility, and basic compassion for their fellow human.
