I remember seeing this a while back. As the parent of a special needs child I admire how the folks at Alabama made him a part of their family and was heartbroken to hear that he had passed away. Rest in Peace bud.

Coach Stallings saw me signing to my deaf son and another deaf girl after a game and invited us in to meet some of the players. It was such an awesome gift for my son and one I'm sure he will never forget. So proud that Coach Saban takes the time to talk to special needs also.

I didn't think I could like Nick Saban any more than I already did. I was wrong. This is awesome! Roll Tide Walt! I have a cousin with downs syndrome. Gene Stallings called my aunt and uncle the day after he was born.

As an LSU fan this is great. I have nothing but respect for Alabama's program. I just wish LSU would finally turn the corner and beat Bama. It use to be a decent rivalry but now with 8 straight (some very close games) it just isn't the same. Geaux Tigers!

It's stories & moments like this that make me proud to be a Bama fan the most. Over the years John, & Mark became Bama sons while being brothers to Bama players. It's not shocking to me that two great men were closely involved with both legendary sons of Bama, Mark & John, because both coaches were just as great off-the-field than they were on it. While looking back at Saban legacy this week: this video/story stands out most to me. Bama was fortunate to have a Family like the Saban's representing them the last 17 years. Thanks for everything John, Mark, Players, and Saban family.... :)

RIP Walt. What a lovely story. ❤️😢 Such humanity in this. I’m a nurse and I’ve always had a special place in my heart for special needs children/adults. They make me feel like the rest of us are the ones with special needs. God bless his family. 🙏❤️ As a die hard LSU fan, I want to take this time to apologize for anything bad I’ve ever said about Nick Saban. I’ve never said he wasn’t the best coach in the history of CFB though. RTR and Geaux Tigers ❤️💜💛

I think it's kinda one of those deals that's weird when u have camera crew around some famous people don't like their good deeds being on camera cuz then it makes it less genuine or doesn't want it look like he is doing it for the camera's or story cuz he is not doing it for those reasons... I know sometimes famous people well ask reporters not to say anything.. it kinda makes no sense but that how some people feel that if your doing it for the camera's or story in media you're doing it for the wrong reasons but who knows maybe he was just in a hurry that day still seemed really nice regardless.
