My mom had a double uterus! One would carry a baby to 3 months and the other would carry the baby to 6 months. After several miscarriages the doctors found a way to put the two uteruses together. She was the first person to have this surgery (1950’s) She successful went on to carry 3 children to full term.

That's nothing, my mom had eight nipples. She'd travel from town to town from vet hospital to vet hospital to wean all the sick puppies.

I’m a genetic genealogist and I’m curious if the second uterus could be chimera from a undeveloped twin? If so, it could have the dna of your undeveloped sister which would make the babies first cousins and half siblings to each other and mommy would also be genetically auntie to one of the twins! 🤔

That family is going to have a tricky time explaining how those girls are a day apart biologically but technically not twins. At least they'll have a unique story to tell.

Congratulations Momma you did good I too had a double uterus and never had twins but I did pull off 3 live births between 1976 and 1986 they were all 3 a month early but perfectly normal and healthy. Not an easy accomplishment with 2 uterus 2 cervix and more lol

i have 2 uterus but 1 is weak and ther one is good. i had 3 sons when carried them normally. But the weak side i miscarried 4 times

Notice that slight size difference? My moms friend had TWO sets of twins and the second set seemed to be different in size. She had 2 uteri/uteruses. The third pregnancy was one baby but she felt something wasn't right. There was a second baby taken out dead with a C section months later. Had teeth and all.

I knew of one in Peoria, Illinois some ten years ago. Her children were toddlers. I didn’t meet the mother, only family who were watching the babies in the church at the time.

Medically speaking they are still twins. Same as if twins are boy and girl. Called fraternal twins. These babies are fraternal.

If you do not share the same birthday than you are not twins i should know because i am a twin i have a friend who was suppose to be a twin he was born at 11:59 pm than his brother was born at 12:00am so they ended up not being twins just because of 1 minute
