That's because many of these shows are written by unattractive male writers who never got any in high school or college, and these shows allow them to live out their fantasies. However, Charlie is relatively handsome, and Walden is... well... Ashton Kutcher.

that so called actor that played alan was, is and will always be pathetic but two episodes were fine, this one only because he is going to be shot and the other one when he gets tasered and after the carlie character was canned the alan guy got worse and the new guy well pathetic, great in that 70's show.
