That joke was later re-used in Scissored Isle. And it was a breath of fresh air!

Yes, his accent isnt quite Alan yet, however the character developed during the series and by the time they did the Tony Hayers episode, its was almost perfected to the one we know and love.

Depends on your point of view. To me... THIS is the definitive Alan Partridge voice, as well as TV Knowing Me Knowing You! 😉 Alan just evolved in character I suppose with life circumstance and age into the post-Travel Tavern Alan of the Mid Morning Matters era.... But ultimately it's all GREAT!!!! 😂💙💙💙😉

Thanks for the upload.... just a shame the thumbnail / picture throughout the audio doesn't match how Alan looked during this era of broadcast! ☺

Is this available in its entirity anyway? The whole series anyway. I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't even know there was a radio series. Some small segments of this were recycled for the TV version I'm sure.

That's an absolute disgrace, making a mockery of judicial system upon which each relies on for security and safety. It's an absolute disgrace.

Nick Ford reminds me of the Trotskyist and super-posh defender of Islamoterrorists such as Abu Qatada - Gareth Peirce. I'm not sure if she affects a Cockney accent because I've never heard her live.
