He is probably Sagas father & the spiritual successor to Martin Hatch (ie Quantum Break) but since Remedy dont have the right to the IP & Lance Reddick is passed (R.I.P) this is the work around. Just like Alex Casey is basically Max Payne without saying it. I believe it shows Remedy cares about their creations and characters very much

Agreed about being Saga's father. Considering it said he was sent to the Dark Place in 1988 with a bolt of lightning. I think Tor sent him there after disagreement.

There is a paige that describes how Odin lost his eye which was taken by Warlin Door to remember their agreedment. I'm not sure Heimdall did that to Odin in the stories. He does seem to do favours and hold agreedment with other though. I wonder what he will take in return for helping Alan Wake.

How is it a secret? He blatantly says he tried to help wake, but wake probably forgot. And it's heavily implied he's an interdimensional entity who is obviously more powerful than the Darkness. Maybe not a protagonist but he's definitely one of the final bosses.

Remember how Tim Breaker mentions that Warlin Door was allegedly struck by lightning and vanished from the real world? Anyone else think that maybe Tor had something to do with that? Like, the man himself admits that he couldn't stand Saga's father, and Anger's Remorse is an apology for something that he did to Freya. I feel like thats the biggest hint Mr. Door might be Saga's father. Or maybe a taken version of him? There's also the fact that when Saga tries to profile him in her mind place, he seems more cordial than anyone else she tries to do that to.

Tor ssaid we dont like your dad and wont talk about him. and they also have to sort things out with door they say. def a connection of the sorts. and in norse mythology thors hammer can you know teleport people via bi frost so maybe he sent door to dark place for doing evil shite idk man

Odin mentions that some doors are better left unopened, in regards to the secrets of their family. That's such a hint that you just have to believe Warlin Door is her father.

Spoilers!!!: Mr. Door is Saga's father. He was the one that took Odin eye and his powers are somehow linked to dark place and ability to travel between different realities. You can find "many worlds theory" book in his dressing room. I don't think he is bad guy, but he might be somewhat neutral. Super interesting character and i'm looking forward to see more of him in the future.

Warlin door is breaking the fourth wall on the tv part saying that we the audience will see him in the "night springs" dlc which is pretty creepy but im not 100% convinced hes a villian yet as a lot of the entitiies in control are ambiguous at best he seems more akin to ahti then anything else he does seem sinister but given all that we know hes merely a powerful entity trying to prevent people from interacting with the paranatural things like the dark placs itself he seems to want to keep people away from the dark place and it even seems hes trying to keep people out of the dark place seeing as he gives saga the information to leave or in better terms "allows" himself to be a solution.

He did literally bring Tim Breaker into the Dark Place. Although that might’ve just been interacting with Tim’s innate paranatural nature. He may act as a controlling antihero type force. You can’t mess with dimensions and that stuff too much, or else door will step in. He’s a limiting factor.

I'll not say that he want to prevent people from going to the Dark Place because he trapped Tim Breaker in the Dark Place , but maybe he's concerned about people playing with realities especially since he blames wake for "opening doors" . Since he was born human and later became an entity maybe he didn't have a role for example lire Ahti who is a "janitor" and his job is to keep all this clean. But interesting character anyway I can't wait to learn more about him.

Obviously Door talks about Saga as his disciple so she is the important one to him. He also says family of Doors have power to shift between realities in the Dark Place and Saga does just that. He also explains is powers as "being able to shift in realities in Dark Place" but it is an oddly specific power. Which means: 1. Door family is deeply connected to Dark Place just like Dark Presence. Probably the Alan Wake version of Mr. Scratch kind of deal. He also cannot "keep existing" irl just like Dark Presence. 2. Saga is both a Door and a Viking. So she both has the mind place power in irl and reality shifting power in Dark Place. 3. Saga is obviously a product of careful planning. Of what or who though? My theory is Door family has a similar power irl but Warlin just happened to get sucked in the lake one day. Or may be Vikings were actually black people... -> (mind place and door powers are just different versions of same power in different places).

Door has to be his own entity, none of this has him bound. He does it to be useful, and he’s so powerful that when breaker went to show saga a page that would bring her deeper into this mess he zapped him into the dark place

When you read the page, it indicates that Door wanted Saga to read it at the right time, when she was ready. Breaker was the one with it, so he got unlucky enough to visit the Dark Place to give it to her at the right time.

If anyone wondering why Tim Breaker mentioned Red Hair at his board, if you've played Control you would understand because Dylan the bald guy explaining to Jesse about Warlin Door. He's got taken by Door but survived from The Dark Place Control 2 must have Door, Darling, and Jesse. Estevez could be there with Casey since they're connected as well. Oh yeah, Tim Breaker as well

I think you’ll definitely see some Alice gameplay and I’m 90% sure she’s become a parautilitarian with those photographer skills of hers. Saga on the other hand I’m really certain she might be one of the protagonists in the next control game with Estevez hiring her pretty much on the spot. Along with possibly Dylan which would make the most sense lore wise since he’s got the same powers as Jessie and it’s an excuse to the developers for you to start fresh without having to make up reasons as to why Jessie would need to relearn her levitation/telekinesis skills. I hope I’m wrong but Im also guessing Jessie will take the full role of a director in the next game meaning she’ll just be one of those supporting characters that everyone will go to when shit hits the fan/major cutscenes. Maybe get to play as her during occasional big plot events. Sort of like when you played as Cere, Kal’s mentor in Jedi Survivor when the empire raids your headquarters.

Considering Saga's original character design was a blonde woman in the Quantum Break Alan Wake teaser, I think that's a fair assessment. It's really interesting to see the ideas grow and evolve across 13 years, what's used and what's discarded. Just hope we won't have to wait as long for more Alan
