@@arkeid86 They don't really need one, Tying it in with control widened everything up into a expanded universe. I think they have the storytelling direction and visuals down pretty well (minus the over use of jump scares), but they still need to work on the gameplay though. AW2's game mechanics felt kinda rough around the edges and in some cases kind of obnoxious rather then entertaining.

I am curious to see what else Remedy can do. Sequels are good, to a point.

Nope. In the first dlc we will basically play the night springs episodes Alan wrote for Mr door and in the second the lake house , we will see how control interacts with this game's story. In Alan wake 3, Alan will basically write Return. To complete the trilogy Mr door was talking about.

We still have the hanging plot threads of future Alan over the phone calling Alan before the end and Mr door saying the next time they meet will be very different. Unless new game plus actually changed these scenes which would be interesting.

Same for me, but with a full-time job and busy life, I am glad I looked it up here. ALternative is playing NG+ at lower difficulty (if not the lowest)

Dude, this is the first NG+ I've ever seen that ever added new story to a game. NG+ is usually just supposed to be the same game but with the equipment you gathered in the first playthrough. Yet Remedy wet out of their way to craft a NG+ with a substantial amount of new story stuff. I'm very satisfied with this NG+. I was able to enjoy the game once more time with some new story beats.

I doubt the story of Alan will end here. FBC will not let him walk freely, giving that he's a potential candidate for the role of director and has been missing for 13 years. His reality shifting powers might come in handy when dealing with the Board..or the Hiss(Assuming that the situation in Oldest House is still unsolved)

My take is that alan wake reached the end of the sprial here with the help of alice. I do believe this will be the end of the alan wake games, but not the end of alan wake's story. Remedy is tying together their universe still and I don't doubt that alan wake will show up as the master of many worlds in a future game.

Just to be clear, I define a story as plot arcs driven by internally consistent logic pushing its characters towards some inner confrontation of values.

Man i'm so mad at This, when i Saw the ng+ had a New ending i came to see It on KZfaq, and im so mad that This ending is a hundred times better than the original, i tought it would be Just a few New things that did not really change the ending, If i knew It would be a whole New ending that changes everything i would have played the game again WTF, really bad decision they made here, This ending would be much better to be already on the First playtrough

Yeah, loved the game myself but didn't fancy replaying it for the changes, so I just watched this and the Dr Darling videos and saved 15-20 hours. The DLC should be fun though, so looking forward to playing that.

I played the game day 1 and have beat it myself. I understand this new ending builds off the original ending but i don't believe you should have to beat the game twice to get a satisfying ending without a cliffhanger. They dont compare it to it just has inspiration from obviously. Plus Twin Peaks The Return? You kidding me the overall actual plot to that show was so simple mired with David Lynchs usual elements. Dont act like Twin Peaks is extremely deep because it isn't. That whole series is literally straight forward stories with zero convolution and shit that doesnt and isn't supposed to make sense layered throughout making most idiots like you think its complex when anything you think has complexity isn't even supposed to make sense because that is David Lynchs style.
