@@yaxl Basically, just finished it a few days ago and AW2 is 11/10 in all the cool artistic areas, but underwhelming in terms of combat, but it's so incredibly good in these other important areas to the atmosphere and story, that to me despite it's flaws it's still a 9/10. And I don't give 9/10s often. I mean like top 2-5% of games.

I wouldnt put everything on his shoulders this time since the crew are the ones who manually hit the button each time. Instead of playing the speeches by ear, which they should. NOW, if next year theres NO improvement or alteration then we can definitely shit on him.

I didn't think he was gonna be able to top max Payne 1 and 2 but Alan wake 1 was close. Alan wake 2 was next level. Even control was amazing

I wouldn't say failures😅, they've consistently put out amazing, genre breaking games!! Max maybe, Alan Wake, Quantum break, Control. All with story expanding, very good dlc. Yes they don't make some things happen, but that's ok, I'm super glad they finally got the recognition they deserve, well maybe more.

I stanned Baldur's Gate 3 so hard during the show, but absolutely lost my shit every time Alan Wake 2 won an award. Remedy killed it with that game, they're such a unique studio and deserve all the awards thrown their way. I'm so happy Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 were the big winners of the show.

It was sweet seeing him feeling emotional when giving the speech, and thanking the team. You can tell he was extremely touched over getting the award. While it wasn't given GOTY, the best narrative award and the chance to do Herald of Darkness live I feel was still so big.

Absolutely deserved. I'm so excited to see how the Max Payne remakes are going to turn out because of this. Other companies should take notes as to how good a game can be when devs are given freedom to do whatever they wanted and it turns out to be such a great game. So happy for Sam too!

The voice of Max Payne just died (James McCaffrey), but maybe they find a suitable replacement, or even a follow up with someone else other than Max. He also was Thomas Zane (Alan Wake 1) and Alex Casey (in AW2) RIP.

This alone made me purchase Alan Wake II, I was thinking " how can this fit in a horror game ??" . After playing it , I must say this is one of the best narrative driven games of all time , an experience I'll never forget . Remedy is gold . Control is trully underated and what a game that was .

Remedy is one of those developers that deserve all the praise in the world. Their games are something else. You can feel the love and passion they have for video games in all their projects. They all have great story and action. Max Payne 1 was the first game I played on PC, and since then their logo makes me happy every time I see it.

IT'S PAYNE, WHACK HIM! There was something disturbingly familiar about the letter before me. The handwriting was all pretty curves. "You're in the game awards, Max." The truth was a burning green crack through my brain. People applauding everywhere, trophy in my hands and people expecting a speech from me. I was in the game awards. Funny as hell, it was the most horrible thing I could think of.

I recommend playing max Payne one and two those are classic games made by remedy but unfortunately they sold max Payne to rockstar since they barely had money to make big games and pay to keep the lights on.

Hands down, one of the best gaming experiences ever. Cohh Carnage wasn't lying when he said that. What really surprised me, was the small, tiny hints all over the game world that put me on a detective mode. I ended up spending over 2x average time to finish the game, because I wanted to play it slow. Weird because I have ADHD and this game calmed my brain down so well. Also, the audiovisual experience was on another level, at least on a PC. I don't usually take screenshots when playing games, but this time I have 100+ images of my favorite scenes. The best looking video game I have ever played. The game had so many unique scenes and characters I'll remember forever... On top of all that, the soundtrack, which was made just for this game, had my favorite songs in 2023. What a year for gamers, because there were multiple 10/10 games. You could pick any of the top game and give them the award.

Sam, thank you from the bottom of my heart for crafting this piece of art. This game sweats passion and love, in every corner you find purpose and attention to detail. No other game since The Last Of Us or God Of War has made me put hours and hours of just losing myself in the world, the lore, the narrative, the art direction and the amazing acting. I really hope we see Alan Wake 3, the industry needs more games like this. Thank you!

These guys are my favorite developers they put their hearts into their games our games! I'm new to Alan Wake. Beat 2 then beat 1 this week. Man. Played all their games even going back to Max Payne in 2002. Amazing. Sam Lake deserves this and more. Fan for life here!
