I liked the first 10 minutes of the movie where we learned about Christopher Robin going away, the animals feeling abandoned, then pulling a Donner Party move in order to survive. However, I think the filmmakers were more concerned about using every slasher film trope instead of focusing on the potential of the concept of trauma, abandonment, and revenge.

If I recall correctly the location this was filmed was actually Ashdown Forest, the place that inspired A. A. Milne's Hundred Acre Woods from the books.

The ironic part is that the musical score is actually really good in my opinion. I'm a sucker for really intense and dissonant orchestral writings. Particularly in terms of the strings, brass and choirs. I also like how lush, gothic, grand and somber it can be at times as well. Almost reminds me of Danny Elfman.

I went to see this at the cinema. Fantastic that you’ve done a reaction to it 😂 the film itself exceeded my expectations. Given the name and nature of the film, the trailer, and the fact that it was done so quickly after the property entered the public domain, it seemed pretty obvious that this was not going to have much going for it.
