How, exactly, is it "underrated"? Two weeks as Billboard's #1 hit, a Grammy for Myles, a Juno Award for single of the year, a Millionaire Award for extensive airtime. . . It's a great song and was recognized as such. That's NOT "underrated."

I want to visit her and just hear all her stories. She fkd everyone lol of course some would be embarrassed by that but I’m fascinated!! She never had kids and eventually contracted HIV in the 80’s she’s honestly one of the nicest ppl I’ve ever met in my life- so funny too. It’s crazy to me bc she wasn’t even that pretty. She is my moms half sister. Her mom was the daughter of a chief on the hoopa reservation and her dad (my grandpa) was a Russian Jew, she had this hook nose, weird body etc but she was I guess good at her trade 🤷‍♀️ Lol

The song is a paean to Elvis Presley, whose portrait was often painted on black velvet, and who used a hair dye named Black Velvet. @@MichaelSSmith-hs5pw Dude was arguably the most famous person in American history, had to deal with a bunch of crap when he got famous, got drafted, lost his mother, and wound up with an undocumented immigrant who was a sociopath as his manager. Still is one of the most celebrated musicians ever. Was a decent actor, too. But if you don’t like him, you don’t like him. Definitely wasn’t a Nancy boy, though. Dude was tough.

Mississippi in the middle of a dry spell Jimmy Rogers on the Victrola up high Mama's dancin' with baby on her shoulder The sun is settin' like molasses in the sky The boy could sing, knew how to move, everything Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for Black velvet and that little boy's smile Black velvet with that slow southern style A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees Black velvet if you please Up in Memphis the music's like a heatwave White lightning, bound to drive you wild Mama's baby's in the heart of every school girl "Love me tender" leaves 'em cryin' in the aisle The way he moved, it was a sin, so sweet and true Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for Black velvet and that little boy's smile Black velvet with that slow southern style A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees Black velvet if you please Every word of every song that he sang was for you In a flash he was gone, it happened so soon, what could You do? Black velvet and that little boy's smile Black velvet with that slow southern style A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees Black velvet if you please Black velvet and that little boy's smile Black velvet with that slow southern style A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees Black velvet if you please If you please, if you please, if you please
