I feel you...my landlord's been harassing me & trying to get me to move for 5 years. Recently he enlisted the help of the other tenant on this property...she filed 2 false reports, lied the most horrible lies i had ever heard (anyone capable of making threats like those she accused me of would most likely have a police record) the judge allowed her to have the restraining order 'because there is a child involved.' Involved in WHAT? None of it ever happened! I had no idea lies and lack of evidence would be welcome in court. This person weaponised the judicial system...and I'm one more lie away from big trouble. I feel horrible...my grandmother practically raised me...she was the first female Deputy Sheriff in Massachusetts. I feel like a failure. I'll never be able to rent again. I want to appeal/contest & I've been watching videos about that but finding out that the court system is an unpredictable, hypocritical place has me so discouraged and disappointed. Truth used to MEAN something. Now anybody with a grudge or something to gain can manipulate the court and use it to advance their cause. It's the ultimate in bullying. I'm so sorry you're going through all that. With what I myself now face, I think people have more to fear from the court than we do the toxic people who use it against us.

And who can just go get an attorney financially when you are a single parent. Attorneys are great but expensive and a lot of money given you don’t know the person making up allegations

Same here with my uncle and my single wide on his land harassing assaulting me with photo and audio proof still won his protective order with no proof and since i forgot to appeal in 2 weeks or so the prosecutor files criminal charges day appeal filing expired so now I'm dealing with criminal courts for not appealing family court forcing me to have a jury trial to actually see and hear my evidence that shows I'm the victim that the judge public defender and prosecutor all team up to ignore proof only to tell me it all goes away as not guilty if I pay fines dv class online and community service I said no to and see if they waste time and tax dollars because my pretender defender says I can't send evidentiary packet to jury to decide no bill before trial so the prosecutor can plead their case in court. So I was just wondering the outcome of your appeal to win and fight back against allegations the courts consider as plea deal ready if defendant is guilty until defense proves we're not and I'm not filing criminal charges when I win since small claims courts pay better revenge blows instead of locking them up

Same happened to me. The petitioner has mental health issues clearly

An officer just sent me an email of corrupted pdf of Ex-parte restraining order & a declaration to surrender firearms, mentioning 2 hearing dates, one for PO & other for weapons surrender. He wanted my signature for Declaration of weapon surrender even when he knows I do not own any weapons. He had written, if I don't sign the Declaration for surrender of weapons, I might get a possible arrest warrant. I never responded to his email as I thought he was just trying to get me served, kept my fingers crossed & let the dates pass by. Today I got an email from another officer where Protection Order was granted to alleged victim against me for 1yr, when I was not even present in the hearing. PO says, I was served electronically & permits all service through email. How can I revoke this? Can this ruin my career? Should I still sign the Declaration for surrender of weapons? I am the real victim here. I didn't know that, WA State laws are beyond ridiculous!

@@SG-xb7de you might want to reach out to a family law attorney who specializes in protection orders. That seems very fishy. I would also check your local court records to see if said hearings happened.

​​@@TheLanceLawyersif u want to make a name from some legal WA state hero fame by organizing law students or just yourself to start a petition to toss it or revise it so narcissistic people can't victimize defendants with little to no evidence or witness etc. I'm going through it all the way from family to criminal court jury trial that I should win with all the audio and photo evidence I've been documenting to Send that day to public pretender that says I should still take plea deal of dv class communityservice and fines class fee and court costs for not guilty when completed I turned down because they won't allow me to send evidentiary packet for no bill jury decision before trial because prosecutor wants to have their say to jury too so when I win I was gonna try to sue my uncle in small claims court for lucrative revenge for criminal allegations of DV4 and malicious mischief lies he reported to police to Donalduck Trump my abusive litigation filing to criminally charge me and grant him protection to continue to taunt and harass and damaged and stolen property and putting fence up blocking dirt road access to highway so my truck is traped in so i cant drive to work lost job and stuck as prisoner in own home since his restraining order forces me inside my home or get a ride to leave if he comes outside his home to legally harass and taunt and call me names because I can't say anything in defense or ask him to stop without going to jail and there will be many more victims of the flawed system no one is willing to help correct or eliminate with the power of the people to petition so we are finally heard to redress grievances to fix and prevent from proliferating and violating victims unchecked and unnoticed so until we the people stand together following our fearless Warrior leader and petitioning how to teacher but either way still wish you a good day and wanted to say love you and all that you do so keep it up too

I think it's a waste of the responders time even if the court doesn't issue the order but such a hearing just a waste of time and resources in my opinion.

@Ed 2024 - Yes, I have thought about it. We are very upset with this law and how it can be (and is being) abused.
