DIY public hand with help from a new friend and Alaska resident. Fly in drop hunt. Moose caribou and bear tags. Once in a lifetime hunt with 40 mile air. Amazing Adventure. So much fun. We were blessed to throw in hunting with a resident. He was only looking for a Trophy 70" moose and just wanted first dibs if it came by. 11 nights in the Cabela's Instinct 10x14 tent with the seek outside titanium stove. Uinit 20E. Harvest Ticket for moose, RC860 permit for caribou. Saw 4 wolves and 5 grizzlies. Didn't see a black bear or wolverine.

Awesome stuffs guys 👍👍👍 we hiked 2 out this year only the 2 of us , 1 down hill 250 yards 😁 the other up hill steep grade 😓 400 yards 😓 I feel your pain 😂 miles away 😲 thanks for sharing looks like y’all had a blast and then some..

Hey so since you drank water unfiltered from that creek you probably have H-Pilori you should get checked for it.

What caliber and rifle are you using. Never seen such a snub barrel. Looks like my ruger 10/22 haha

It’s a .308. Rem 700 aac/sd 16” barrel.

Macmathews1 Hornady eldx 168. Me and dan both used it. His moose and caribou were at like 350. I’m actually 7 miles from the truck and 4000 feet above it trying to sneak in on some elk i saw at daylight 😅 and during the trip we referred to ourselves as “meat packers” 😅

@@cocheran I can't even find an ELD X 168.. only the match version. I do see ELDX 178 though, you sure on 168 grains ??

@@Macmathews1 you’re right it’s 178. That was off the top of my head. I’m shooting the 28 nosler in 162 eldx i think. And 6.5 in 143 and 300 wsm in 200 grains. I’ve only used the eldx for years though.

2nd Boo.. how far..? NF Scope..? Me too... mounted on my Sauer 7mm Mag.. Nice country... and THANKS NO MUSIC..!!! there really is NONE when you are out hunting....LOL

I think it was around 175 also. It’s a Burris eliminator. It’s my .308 on Daniels caribou and moose and mine. He has some issues with his rifle once we got out there. His bou shot was a little back but come out through ribs. Stuck in hide on opposite side. It ran about a 100 yards before laying down.

Enough to be a once in a lifetime experience 😢 bush plane is $2200. Moose tag $800. Caribou $650. To fly a moose out of woods $1000. Fly a caribou $800

Those are per person. It’s $2200 a piece to get flown into and back out of the woods. $1000 per flown out and $800 per caribou
