Kay Burley speaks to the former Director of Communications for Tony Blair, Alastair Campbell on his decision to not return to the Labour party.
He told Sky News: "I think we've just got to stop pretending that, somehow, it's all going to be fine on the night because it's not unless there is major radical change at the top."
Mr Campbell was expelled from the party in May, after admitting that he had voted for the Liberal Democrats in the European Parliament elections.

Kinnock lost two general elections. Tories got a majority both times. If Campbell is criticising corbyn on his record on general elections, why does he praise kinnock in the same sentence? Kinnock was the biggest loser Labour's ever had!

@johnrafter8870
@johnrafter8870 5 жыл бұрын
But, what does that mean on its own? And what does that's mean in the context of Campbell's criticisms that labour did not win in 2017? Campbell is quick to point out how "hard" kinnock worked, well, based on his results, he didn't work hard enough. Leader for nine years, trounced after 3/4 years, battered again in 1992. Tory majorities both times. Corbyn was leader for just two years before labour stopped a tory majority at corbyns first effort. So kinnock tried? Did he? And if he did, he didn't try hard enough!

I fail to understand the train of thought of people who deride AC / TB. Most of the individuals who do so base their derision on the fact that Britain participated in the Iraq war, which incidentally was due to the pressure from the then USA president GWB. Nobody seems to remember what New Labour delivered for the overall benificialty of the working person during their tenure, what people need to realize is that 99% of the UK population is working class, yet all the present cabinet appointments by BJ are members of the 1%.
