O wow. I can't help but agree with your theory. If Albedo was based of the Traveller's race, then the whole things gets way more darker. I mentioned this on a previous genshin theory channel, Albedo and Kiana (the clone) posses a lot of similarities. + Both are artificial beings. + Both posses star symbols on their outfits. + Both act as vessels of dangerous entities that are treath to humankind. (Honkai and Durin's blood) + Both were created by an possible crazy scientist. (Otto and Rhinedotter)

Dude this is so cool, the traveler and albedo being connected sure is an interesting idea. Still tho that still raises the question of how Rhinedottir knew of the traveler and how she saw traveler as a god, really makes you think huh. And based on the trailer of his second rerun, it looks like the traveler, Bennett, and others try to stop him from something. Your theory has a high chance of being true, given the literary and symbolical relevance of his alias, constellations, etc. Great discussion, I enjoyed watching this theory.

What underrated about Genshin Impact is the lore. I always love the lore and the theories of yours.

This is extremely interesting and another tidbit that I can mention is that the word albedo, in environmental science, is the amount of the sun’s light that’s reflected back into space by surfaces. For example the polar ice caps have high albedo values as they reflect large amounts of sunlight into space. If the main characters represent the sun, and Albedo is supposed to be imitations of them, then his name directly references that relationship as he is a reflection of the travellers.

Without connecting anything with god. Just Albedo's name alone is enough to connect the twins to him. Albedo means the process of cleaning mats for philosopher's stone. And only the traveller had the power to cleanse the "corruption" of durin. Which intern albedo was not able to do properly as with the festering desire, making him flawed.

I think the twins travelling to Teyvat was something that many beings like, Albedo's creator, either predicted or influenced them in coming to Teyvat specifically. Whatever type of being the twins are it certainly isn't human. However, whenever an NPC refers to Traveller as a human, the Traveller doesn't correct them and goes along with their assumption of them being a fellow human. Except Zhongli, who in his story quest tells the Traveller if they were to move on to another world then they should never forget the stories of the people they have met so that those people and their stories can live on forever. This can only make sense if the Traveller was immortal, unless Zhongli was guessing that Traveller was immortal since being from another world usually means your biology is different.

So the whole "Pet Catching" mechanic actually ties in with the whole creation theme going on with Albedo as well, yeah? I feel like it's a pretty perfect time to bring that mechanic to the game! Albedo being based on the Traveler is awesome too. Just makes him cooler and I really hope I get him in a few days! Or at least before his banner ends...

I also noticed that on Albedo's elemental skill description, there's text that says *"This Geo bloom has an unusual property mirrored in the aim of alchemy. To rise from the earth, soar into the sky, and become the sun."* Since you've stated that the siblings could represent the sun, were the alchemists who practised Khemia trying to replace them by creating Homunculi like Albedo?

With the event of patch 2.3 this theory has gained more value! We have theorized about Albedo origins and the identity of Rhinedottir being Gold and all of that were confirmed, plus we now know that Albedo was created at some point after the cataclysm, which makes even more room to hypothesize that Rhinedottir met one of the travellers and created Albedo based off them. Your theories are always well constructed and well put together!!

Here is one more piece of evidence: Albedo does an experiment on the traveler and discovers a unexpected dark sediments in one of his tests. We have no idea what it meant for now but the fact that he finds this strange says a lot. This meant Albedo was expecting something different. However, since the traveler was from another world, he should not be expecting anything to begin with. This means he already had extensive knowledge about the traveler's biology.

Ill be honest the thing that is most interesting to me is the star/diamond in the middle rather than Albedo and his relation. It is literally everywhere in the Mihoyo universe not just Albedo. Unknown Gods portals, Traveller symbol, Honkai 3 trailers and cutscenes (end of pre-revelation as a portal of some kind), Honkai Star rail stuff, character's outfits ect..... IM SO CURIOUS, a video on the star shape would be awesome!!!

Hmm... in the middle of watching this video I had a thought. WHY did Albedo received a Vision? As far as we know, Visions are magical gems given to those who have the potential to defy the Heavens, disrupt the current flow of the world and/or those who can dream. In the video Mr. Island said that "the creation and destruction (of the world)" is preordained. So what if the reason why Albedo received a Vision is because he DIDN'T want to destroy Mondstadt and by far Teyvat? It makes sense. Okay, consider this: - Albedo clearly states that he wants us to finish him if he went batsh*t one day - He loves Mondstadt, Klee and the others. Mond is his home. - He fits the qualifications to receive a Vision - he "dream" of a way to break free from his fate of destroying Mond - because of that he "disrupts" the current flow of the world where everything is decided by fate and cannot be changed - and that equals to defying the Heavens, who is possibly the ones who preordained things So combine all of this and it became like this: Albedo doesn't want to be a mass murderer + le Heavens saying "jokes on you it's permanent ink" = magic gem that lets you control the earth I explained this as best as I can at 1 am. Another interesting thing to point out is the relevance of Albedo's gatherable ascension material. Cecilia is only used on two people, Albedo and a God itself relating to a lot of Christian stuff as well: Venti. Cecilia was also a Saint in Catholic belief who was the Saint of music. The name Cecilia also has very interesting meaning. Taken from Wikipedia, Cecilia means: lily of heaven, the way for the blind, contemplation of heaven and the active life, as if lacking in blindness, and a heaven for people to gaze upon. I feel like that last one is particularly interesting considering we can literally gaze upon the heavens of Celestia from the ground. Anyways, thought I'd add the info since I had just been researching it myself the other day.

Your theory videos is what I always appreciate about the game itself. I play it for the story, the connections and the lore behind the worlds and characters. The community has been so toxic due to 'free this and that' that there's just too many negatives that blinds the more interesting appeals of this game. I personally don't care for any freebies or things cuz at the end of the day, a game is a game and there's no reason to be so angry or triggered over small things. I simply enjoy the game for what it is.

I just realized that albedo's constellation looks like a baby in the womb, which is a human like representation and the other characters that have similar looks are the archons and travelers, I think. This makes me more believing that Ather and Lumine is a created being.. and I have a thoughts that they are created by using the same substance as leylines.. (someone has a theory that leylines branch, root, etc is part of Imaginary tree) and thats why Aether and Lumine can travel through the world and can using multiple elements, so its not purifying instead turns the corrupted item back to the time when its pure/ not corrupted (also someone said that leylines is a large database of what happened in the world, so it also contain the memory of the item before its corrupted/unpure).. and abyss sibling is called prince/princess.. so perhap Rhinedottr is trying to make the copy of abyss sibling to mimic the twin so the abyss sibling won't be feel lonely.. (lets not forget that both are twin) so it also make Albedo is similiar to the traveler.. to top of that its also makes Mondstadt more sus than before..

I also have to add that in the end of one of mondstat trailers lumine says "We will be reunited dear brother, but not here, not now. We shall meet again once the dust has settled" Which Im guessing lumine has some knowledge about "dust of purification"

As a person who loves to look very deep into Genshin lore, this is amazing- I was just getting into topic of Albedo myself lol that's very helpful ngl! But I thought I could share some information as well - After looking at both Travelers colour palettes I realized Aether might symbolise Sun while Lumine is the moon. Also it would makes sense for them to meet once a very long time - just like Sun and moon (which results in an eclipse, their last meeting created more questions than answers, darkness covering the light). But I might be wrong on that who knows.

the thing about the star symbol appearing all over his clothes on his neck and his skills is so interesting because it actually is associated with real alchemy (in our world) - so it being connected to khemia/khaenri'ah makes 100% sense

The other sibling could have been extremely involved with khaenriah's society, made a name for themselves and even created a following to the point that they can fully trust the sibling to guide them, calling them prince/princess

Apparently “Albedo” means “Fraction of light that is reflected by a body or surface” so that could be another hint, that he’s merely a reflection of a thing/person rather than the thing/person casting the reflection. I also wonder if the travelers could’ve also been created by Gold. Maybe earlier and more “perfect” iterations who escaped her?

I was thinking and it might be possible that Aether/Lumine was the Prince/Princess of the final dynasty of Khaenri'ah, which sounds like it has royalty. So basically, not just the royalty of the abyss, but Khaenri'ah itself. This is supported by the Fleur De Lis, which would be interesting. Also, maybe their race and species were great contributors to Khaenri'ah, or like maybe their ancestors founded Khaenri'ah or something idk (when your homeland returns to this world, we shall revel in its glory). The second part isn't the best argument but it would be pretty cool!

I always had a belief that traveler and Albedo were connected, because: 1. I always thought Lumine's clothes and Lumine herself ressembled Albedo. 2. Geo traveller Ult, as you mentioned. Well, I suppose there's also the fact that Albedo is a term in astronomy for how well a surface reflects light from the sun or a star. Albedo is literally the reflection of a true source of light.

Using this theory, I feel like its possible that Albedo could be immortal. He is a creation, made by an alchemists, and he trains alchemists. Meaning, if Albedo does die, Sucrose and Timeas could bring him back to life. Also, I believe he is also searching for Gold, so perhaps this could be a major stepping stone in on the path to the end?

There's a theory that Teyvat is one of the worlds that exists within the worlds in Honkai Impact. I think Mihoyo has even confirmed that Dvalin made a cameo in Honkai, so your association with the symbol of the flower of eden really isn't too far off. *mind blown*

Loved the video! However, I had to make a comment on one of the things you said at the start. I strongly believe that Rhiendotir and Gold are the same person. The sheer power needed to create 1) a completely functioning artificial human and 2) corrupt a divine creature to the point of complete insanity shouldn't be common enough for two separate people to have. Not to mention how the whole destruction of Khaenri'ah could've happened because, well, Khaneri'ah simply wasn't on the good side of things. Perhaps Celestia simply HAD to destroy them before they did something much worse than corrupt ancient dragons.

It's also interesting to note that both Albedos master and the Travelers sibling give them the same instruction. To learn the truth of this world. The whole game seems to be centered around us reaching the state of enlightenment for us represented by obtaining all the elements.

Just thought I should mention, in Honkai Impact one of the The Thirteen Flame Chasers is named Eden, her code name was Gold, and she was noted as once being the "the brightest star" of the Previous Era. She also held the 9th Divine Key, Star of Eden, which could control gravity, interesting that one of Albedo's abilities causes a flower to levitate, as though some gravity manipulation could be going on. While she's not a 100% match to the Gold character in Genshin, it's important to remember how different the characters can be from their Honkai versions, take point: Raiden Mei - Extremely good at cooking. Raiden Ei - This character cannot cook.

We all don't know anything about the twins except them being the travelers from the other world. What if the eclipse dynasty of Khaenri'ah met the travelers way back before the cataclysm happened, and the power of the travelers inspired someone from the dynasty like Rhinedottir to create someone like Albedo based from their image and power? What if the art of Khemia is a gift of Celestia? What if the art being used in creating human life is forbidden, hence causing the cataclysm? Remember that the art can rival the power of the gods, which is pertaining to the power of Celestia to create life. Rhinedottir creating life caused Celestia to use the Cataclysm to destroy Khaenri'ah. What if the thing Celestia doesn't want humans to know is how they created life, hence causing every human that is close in forging life from their own hands to be destroyed? Maybe humans of Teyvat is really created to be limited, and Alchemy is a tool that uncovers the real power of humans. Maybe humans in Teyvat with extraordinary innate power is given visions so that Celestia can watch over them, and humans who surpasses their expectations are ascended to Celestia itself to be somewhat imprisoned. What if Rhinedottir is the real reason of the cataclysm, and the real reason of all of this things that happened to the twins? Just some random possibilities.

Watching this today after starting the Quest this makes even more sense. I totally forgot this video was made few days before the event but I was watching as if the theory was made after observing the event. The Theory fits well with the first day of the event. It also seems as if Albedo envies the traveller because of their unique ability. Also The traveller was thinking of her brother when the dialogue with albedo was on which shows a strange connection between the three. On top of that Albedo is the only character who wishes to pay so much attention on the travellers and what can they do

Can we just point out how Albedos Constallation literally depicts what seems to be an embryo still in the womb tho? Also another interesting thing I picked up on is his ascension mat, the Cecilia, while you can link it to a lily, which funnily enough can be a symbol of either hope or mourning, it can also be the teyvat version of a datura, also known as devils trumpet, witch's weed and is associated with witchcraft and sorcery in western but also native american culture and is infact poisonous. This once again could also be correlated to the twins, the twins came from above and generally have a more "bright" yellowish color sheme than albedo, corresponding with the Angel's trumpet plant, a yellowish colours plant that grows its blossoms hanging downwards, while albedo needs the datura, or devils trumpet, for his ascension, a plant who faces upwards and is commonly more white than yellow. Here is also to note that both are part of the Solanaceae, unlike the datura however Angel's trumpets are now extinct and only human made, just like how the travelers are not from tevyat but were introduced to this world rather roughly by the unknown god, where as the devils trumpet can be found growing in the wild. Both however are highly toxic, which makes sense, just like albedo who could destroy mond, our lost sibling is infact leading the Abyss and seeks to destroy celestia, both having great destructive powers. Another thing would be the impurity albedo found while testing the traveller, this impurity is shown multiple more times thereafter, as for example when scaramouch eneages the traveller in Inazuma, or after Raiden kills of Signora when the world from the traveller pov seemingly gets distorted. The impurity is also dark, meaning it could be the "evil" side each human has hidden within, some just know how to control it better than others, while our pure Kreideprinz lacks this, as well as some other emotional capabilities marking him a failed product, as he lacks the most human basic aka emotions. At least to me he often shows a lack thereof and seems rather "dull" or blank. Guess I lost track at some point but just rly had to get that out of me, gotta love the abyss of genshin lore and theories

It's also interesting to note how patches where Albedo appears always have Aether with him in the main patch/trailer art too. Never happens for other characters. Like, AT ALL. (The Liyue 1.1 and Inazuma 2.1 illustrations, the portrait ones, which showcase various characters including the traveller aren't the patches' main art)

Hey I really like this channel making theories Its really interesting and I love how it connects with the real world reference the way Genshin put love to their story making the game more interesting for people who loves lore. I also have a theory about the 7 archons and their relation to the 7 deadly sins. But I don't have the enough knowledge to expand it. My theory starts with Venti being the Sin of Gluttony cause of him being a drunkard even other archons cant stand him Then with Zhongli the Sin of Greed since his the supplier of mora and him buying things more than it should be. Then theres Raiden the Sin of Wrath cause her indifference to her people and their lives for the sake of eternity. The Dendro Archon I believe is the Sin of Sloth cause its said in the trailers that "In the city of scholars there's a push for folly yet the god of wisdom makes no argument about it, This proves her reluctance to make a stance to stop the folly therefore Slothful. The Hydro Archon is the Sin of pride because if you read her lore she says "My ideals have no stains. I must correct you. People here bear no sins in the eyes of the gods... Only laws and the Tribunal can judge someone. They can judge even me. So praise my magnificence and purity" As if she sees herself as pure but the Oceanid hates her. The Pyro Archon is the Sin of Lust, I say this base on the trailer "The rules of war are woven in the womb: The victors shall burn bright while the losers must turn to ash" I think this narrative is about millions of sperms racing towards the womb. Once a sperm reach it the others die. This could be the archons way of telling to the traveler that everything in the world is a war and in order to survive you must win. So far there's not much info about her to be considered the sin of Lust but looking at the other archons only the sin of Lust remains to be labelled on her. Thus the Tsaritsa is the Sin of Envy, Because of her plan to rebelled against the Celestial. In her desire to do so she's collecting gnosis by manipulating situations and even by force. Even copying the concept of vision by creating delusion to strengthen her forces when the day comes she will dethrone Celestia. Okay, so by the time I came across this video, I have finished the last part of the albedo event quest in the game. So in reality (from what I know), there are three albedos. 1 is the whopperflowers that mimics Albedo, 1 is the real albedo 1 is Durin who mimics albedo to feel the joy of being born into the world. That being said, I'm very surprised by how you can explain why Albedo is an imperfect homunculus. In the event quest, Albedo himself said that he is an imperfect creation because of the star shaped mark on his neck. Albedo too, basically said that "naturally, Life flows from inside the creature to the outer side. Just like a flower that blooms from the inside. Meanwhile a homunculus like me needs life force energy from the outside (so I think he is constantly absorbing the life forces around him?). Hence why I have this mark" But I still don't really understand the last cutscene from the second part of the quest tho. I think I need to rewatch it some more time. Sorry for the long comment. At the end of the day, this is a very good theory video. Keep up the good work, man!

Im doing this off of the chess game theory. I think the traveler as the pawn has the ability to become a god, the gods being represented by the other pieces. I think someone wanted to create their own pawn so they could have control over the outcome, and I think that was why Albedo was created, and why Dottore was experimenting in children with archon residue. I think Dottore and the fatui were trying to create their own pawn, but I think we’ll find that none of their created pawns will work. I think the travelers are heirs to Celestia. I think they had an older sibling, the unknown god, who went before them and was corrupted. I think they were tasked with going to get her, take her home but that clearly didn’t work out exactly as they planned, I don’t think the corrupted heir is supposed to be the other sibling, I think it’s an older sibling or even parent

It kinda makes sense. If u think about it, although albedo uses the GEO vision, he "creates" objects using alchemy which uses different elements. But the question is, since he's not human, how was he able to get a vision? 🤔

Tbh what I think of how travellers can use all elements is, that unknown god from starting of game took away powers of siblings and use those powers to restart life in tevyat. And maybe second sibling's power that is Traveller got so much drained that traveller had gone into a deep slumber and that's why traveller woke up 500 years later

your theories are pretty good, i have a potential theory idea for you that would probbly be more usefull in the future. if someone already did this, then i wouldn't know if someone is reading this comment and doesn't want character backstory spoilers, then, here is your warning i'm gonna be speaking from my knowledge so some mistakes might be made so, we know that childe fell into the abyss as a teen, and that he learned how to fight in it. the idea i have is to theorise how exactly did he learn how to fight in there. it might not be all that lore-important (for now), but i think it will tie into something huge in the future. so, at some point he fel into the abyss, and he learmed how to fight there. this can be seen not only by reading lore, but also by comparing his attacks to the attacks of abyss enemies, more specifically, abys heralds. his sword slashes in his last phase are basically ientical to the ones of the abyss heralds. he sometimes throws his electro blade, and it rolls around kind of similar to the abyss heralds, but this is kinda a stretch. in his first 2 forms, he makes a shield, which wouldn't be that special, but he cannot be damaged at all untill his shield is broken. this might not feel that important, but currently, the only shields that protect the user from being damaged are the shields of abyss enemies. you might say "but diona, zhongli etc. shields protect us from being damaged fully", well, in my opinion that is a different kind of shield. when i say "elemental shield" i mean ones that dont recieve damage numbers, but rather are broken by reactions and blunt attacks. he is also similar in that the hydro and electro blades he uses in his 1st and 2nd phase are very similar to the blades of the heralds. because of all this, i think that he was taught by a herald, but the link i have to prove that is paper-thin and would need more of an explanation. so, i think that an abyss herald taught him because :1. learning all those skills just from watching someone fight is nearly impossible, but it might be, so this is the weaker reason. the bigger reason is that he fell into the abyss. let me explain falling into the abyss is not an easy task, and the only way we have access to it is because of the spiral abyss portal, hovewer, characters don't seem to be canonically aware of it right now. he couldn;t fall down into some random hole in the grond and ended up in the abyss, because the abyss is a careful organization and wouldn't leave a way to enter the abyss to random people. so, i think that he fel down into the abyss not by acident, but because an abyss herald was curious about him, and put him into the abyss. if that wasn't the case, childe would have probably ided, because, no matter how well he can learn techniques just by looking at them be performed, he couldn't get away from the abss order. because the abyss orer doesn't like people to know their secrets, chile would have died after learning those techniques, unless an abyss order higher-up didn't want him to die. if this isnt entierly correct, i hope you at least got some ideas from it

the details are awesome...love your use of FMB characters lol... I'm amazed how like a lot stuff are already planted in the game and with each update the hints slowly come to surface... Looking forward to how Albedo's fate will be animated and how Gold and company will appear

Great analysis! Yah there are a lot of similarities between the two. Btw, I don't know if it's off topic but the "flower of eden" can also be seen on kaeya's clothes (belly button, shoes, half of his cape and left sleeve) . So I'm guessing it's more of like a khaenri'ah symbol.

3:42 so obvious connection to Eight point star of Shub-Niggurath. I mean it also Star of Inanna, but this context cries for Lovecraft deities. Plus Astarte and Shub-Niggurath were syncretized by Lovecraft himself. Which implies topic of destruction and *recreation* of world.

This theory is actually pretty good. Especially the similarities in Aether and Albedo. I was also confused between the two of them when I started playing this game (about two months ago) that I had to do extra research about them lol.

if you look in the dragonspine domain closely‚ you can see that the chandelier looking thing above the tree where you collect rewards (sorry my english isn’t that good-) looks very similar to the chandelier looking things you can find in the theater of dominance (from honkai impact 3). the puppets‚ basically the herrscher of dominance’s foreheads have the same symbol as paimon’s outfit (you can also find it in other places but you get what i mean). the herrscher of dominance’s powers (according to google) is the ability to control all elements and also associated with turning humans to puppets alright now i’m not sure where i’m getting here and maybe it’s not even related to this video but.. yea 🙂

Good theory about Albedo being a flawed Traveller,.ou fail to mention how Rhinedottir got the inspiration or the idea to create a articifcal life relipcating the Traveller, with the Traveller appearing in Teyvat after Abledo's creation.

All the marvels in the world must pale before "Cretaceus," the greatest work of them all." Albedo's constellation is Princeps Cretaceus and The Rifthounds are created by the alchemist Gold. So what does this mean?

If you have the time of course, I have my own theory about them and I would like to see how close both our theories are, like their names, rankings, roles and maybe even their agenda for becoming a harbinger.
