Abina Khasanova, a postdoctoral researcher in the m-CAFEs SFA (Microbial Community Analysis & Functional Evaluation in Soils Scientific Focus Area), is fascinated by plants' ability to interact with microorganisms to improve plants’ and ecosystem health. She will use fabricated ecosystems in the Biological and Environmental Program Integration Center (BioEPIC) to study biological processes in controlled environments and across different scales.
