japan street drifting and US sideshows are so different. Japans street drifters still hold a respect for the spot. Sideshows turn into crashes/shootouts/ and a mob mentality.

I've Been whaching ur stuff for a few months know and it has completely changed my perspective of Japan and the culture within it i have always loved cars and anything with a engine and ur content has made japan a go to destination when I get older just to explore the car culture and the people within it.

I find it very interesting the fact that the drfiters of japan managed to negotiate with the cops about how street drifting should be carried out. I think it makes sense for the police to allow it to some extent, cause cracking down on it completely would mean erasing a part of japanese culture.. and it's also easier for the police to monitor what's going on this way

I can appreciate how many older cars are still on the road there. That said, I do miss the days when it was 5 guys in a parking lot with 3 cars between us for doing highway runs. And cars were throwaway cheap back then, while at the same time, everybody drove a hoopty that was a bit of a neighborhood effort.
