The most exciting modern dance piece in the last thirty years. To see it live on stage is unmissable.......

What about arbitrary movement in random order enthralls you? His choreography leaves me completely cold.

+IamStephenph if u love this u have to watch Gods and Dogs which was performed in the Opera Zürich in Switzerland. amazing

+bloodandwinearered Ofcourse the beauty of art is, that what moves one, might not move the other at all. I do wish to emphasize that, though it my seem random, I assure you it is not.

+krazybilly99 I guess you are refering to Jiri Kylian Choreography. Indeed a very nice work! I believe it was originally made for NDT.

Roberto Bolle is an Adonis, moving OR standing still. Some of God's finest work, that one is.

Interesting in terms of modern choreography. Ballet dancers are happiest in the vertical line which is used heavily in this ballet. However, there is also some off balance stuff which is almost Twyla Tharp related, and some stretch off the vertical line. Very beautifully danced despite the small mishap at around 2.27. As Matias Paz said, very professionally handled. Thanks for posting.

Exceptional video. Bolle's posing style works amazingly in this choreography. And the two women performers are simply stunning! There are parts their limbs jerk like they're puppets...

Nice recover at 2:27, very professional.

The composer is Thom Willems. I believe the name of the music is the same as that of the piece - in the middle, somewhat elevated.

I've only ever seen Zenaida in classical ballet. She's stunning in this, as good as Sylvie, and I never thought I'd say that about anyone!
@maicolacostalemos5 жыл бұрын
What? She is good but like Sylvie, neveer!
@eoin.o.fiannachta5 жыл бұрын
Zenaida is actually performing in Isabelle Guérin’s role, Sylvie’s role is played by Marta, they’re all magnificent artists

ES UNA COREOGRAFIA DIFICIL DE FORSYTHE: ES NEOCLASICA PORQUE LAS BAILARINAS USAN PUNTAS;LA CALIDAD DE MOVIMIENTOS DE LOS BAILARINES ES PERFECTA Y SU EXPRESION ES ESTUPENDA. GLORIA DINZEL.

This tempo amazing from the start....for me the sound might be too loud.. I'd use some flares or change into that later..so we experience the effects of sounds and so that the hearing impaired can see it visually even if you have to add some wind special effect...hello...engineers. Or show the sounds on the wall somewhere with graphics or something you like that is both visual and scientific...

Wonderful production from 2012 of this exciting modern dance. Bolle is awesome and Romagna and Yanowsky are exciting dancers. However, I'm not a fan of performances in the dark or almost dark

im sorry to say this but Sylvie's solo was altered here and missing parts to keep in rhythm. just really makes you see how phenomenal she was back then with her dance.

Credo che Marta Romagna al minuto 2 e 28 sia scivolata, non si vedono i piedi ma si è ripresa bene.😮

oh man, too bad she slipped and fell. What a great effort! But I can't hear this music and not think of Sylvie Guillem.

2:26 Fault or choreography ?
@leosgolasovsky12879 жыл бұрын
Paolo Lucas Vianini Choreography I think, there's more, for example 3:15 where he pretends he cannot start. I think the message is something like "people can be perfect even with mistakes"
@Mhor8 жыл бұрын
+Paolo Lucas Vianini Pretty sure it's a slip. Look at her facial expression and where his hand is before they touch.
@jkokich6 жыл бұрын
That’s why I despise choreography like this. People will come up with some deep explanation for something, when it was simply a mistake.
@MissFukutoob6 жыл бұрын
It's on purpose. It's part of the choreography. "In the Middle" is part of a larger work called "Impressing the Czar." You can read more about it here: www.theguardian.com/stage/2015/mar/07/in-the-middle-somewhat-elevated-william-forsythe-dance
@MissFukutoob6 жыл бұрын
Actually, you're right. I thought you were referring to a different section. I didn't catch the hand slip the first time.
