That Walter Carlos - Sonic Seasonings is one that I was not familiar with and am now loving it so much...very cool atmospheric...perfect example of why the VC is a beautiful thing. Cheers man

Hello from England......i`ve been a watcher, subscriber of your videos from the start and although the vast majority of bands/artists you talk about,i haven`t got a clue about,i just sit watching your your videos with great intent. I can honestly say there is only perhaps six albums that have blown my mind etc... and one of them is also Kate Bushes Hounds Of Love. I agree that Running up that hill is a fantastic haunting song but the one that did it for me,gave me that wow factor, was Cloudbusting and it`s accompanying video, thats the one that made me go out and buy that album. Great video sir, keep them coming.

Really glad to see that you have sorted out your problems. Interesting choise of albums that also includes some of my favourites. Kate Bush is a fantastic singer and it`s sad that she was absent for many years. Vangelis Blade Runner is among my blew my mind albums. A recent "blew my mind" is the group "Heilung" and there "Lifa-Live in Castefest" album. This concert can been seen on youtube and is really mindblowing. The vocalist Maria Franz has an amazing voice . She can do high notes like Kate Bush. Everyone should see this.

Very cool selections. Especially The Goblin album. I've been a fan of theirs since I first heard them while watching Dario Argento's Suspiria in the early 80s. I loved hearing how each album blew your mind, Topper. Very elegant and throughly entertaining. Thanks my brother for another great video. I may try my hand at it. Lol. Later man.

Wow. You picked three I would have picked, as I bought them when they came out..which makes a difference how they affect you. Goldfinger. My first and favorite 45 was Shotgun. (Do the jerk now). I traded it for the Theme to Goldfinger. That tells you something. Album came later when I had more money in my pocket. I noticed your copy has no ring wear on the blacks. I made a point in the 1980's to buy another copy with no ring wear, and it's still in the plastic. Important! Wendy's Sonic Seasonings was great on my 4 Channel Pioneer system from 1972. Loved being surrounded by it. When kids came to my door for Halloween, (first time I had my own place in 1974) I had Winter from the album playing to mood up the scene... I don't have that Sylvian Fripp album, but have the gorgeous Sylvian Nine Horses Snow Born Sorrow recording, his lovely Spirits of The Beehive and somewhere I have the Japan albums, which still amaze me. That bass player! So, albums that not only blew my mind, but changed my life direction, were..Miles Davis' Bitches Brew, Weather Report's first album, The Eddie Sauter Stan Getz soundtrack to Mickey One, (still unbelievable) and Miles Davis' Live Evil. Thanks for the show. And I hope your Governor kicks that Trump postmaster's ass.

The copy of Goldfinger shown in this video is a later pressing. The original copy that I had from 1963 is long gone! I have a couple of extra vinyl copies. I also have other James Bond soundtracks and comps on vinyl and compact disc. Thanks for commenting.

My friend who used to live across the road from my parents' house was a big Roy Buchanan/Steppenwolf/John Kay fan.Spent many hours in his room spinning that stuff in the early '70's when we were teenagers.Great Daze, they were.Ah,for time travel...

I listened to The Minotaur by Dick Hyman. It blew me away. It was just weird enough to take you into very surreal terrain. John Cage's Music For Prepared Piano blew my mind. Harry Partch's music blew me away. He built his own instruments. Ravel's "L'enfant et le Sortilege" blew my mind. "The Who Sell Out" blew my mind.

Fantastic video my friend! It made my vinyl adrenaline rush! Maybe it was the coffee that helped too, but dam, so many classic albums. Quite a few of those albums have also blown my mind, and some I never heard about till now! I have that Vangelis China album on a UK pressing. I had it digitally for a few years, but it never hit me as it did listening to it on vinyl! It’s amazing, before recording that album, he never went to China. But he really captured China in that album. I lived in China for 8 years. There were major parts and even little subtleties that he expressed musically that really captured the culture, music, history, and emotions of China. How do you feel about his “Opéra Sauvage” French nature soundtrack? The last six months it’s been rising to one of my favorites. So much so that I bought a Netherlands and UK pressing of it. I sent you an email a little over a month ago asking about what Vangelis albums you have. I found a store by my grandpa’s place that has a great collection there. Last time, I found Jon Anderson & Vangelis “Short Stories” on vinyl. I’m going to my grandpa’s next week. Let me know if you have any Vangelis grails on vinyl. I know you said you have his whole catalog, but if you’re missing anything, let me know. I’ll keep an eye open for you. Your synth music gives me a Vangelis vibe! Also, I have some incredibly difficult ones to find on digital. There’s so many different periods of Vangelis, from Aphrodite’s Child, side projects, different periods, different studios, and even albums that got released that he never wanted to see the light of day.

Dude, you are so cool. I love The Visit. Have seen her many times. Front row at Massey Hall in Toronto a few years ago and in a little church in her hometown of Stratford, Ontario, Canada. She is brilliant and commands the best musicians to play with her. She is also a fun, creative beautiful spirit. When you see her live she shows you her soul. Roy Buchanan...Interesting...will look for that album. I have a few and the one that blows my mind is "Your'e Not Alone" Take Care

Great selection Topper. Can't fault any. Wonderful to know you're a fan of Kate Bush too. As popular here in Australia as her native England but not that successful in the USA. My favourite artist of all time. If you haven't already, check out her album Sensual World, that's mind blowing too. Vangelis - goes without saying. Loreena McKennitt - superstar. Take care and stay safe.

Hi Topper, one of my earliest albums was also a James Bond movie soundtrack, Thunderball, also a gift from my parents. I just loved the movie, have watched it many times, and the album with Tom Jones doing a "thundering" theme song, just blew my mind. The whole album takes me back to that first time I saw the movie at a Drive In with my parents. So atmospheric. I've taken note of some of your mind blowing albums and will check them out. Thanks for the video.
