For those who may not know, our beautiful friend, Topper, passed away yesterday on February 4, 2023. He was not only a wonderful personality but he was also a super talented musician who played multiple instruments. He love of vinyl recordings came from a professional musicians aspect. Some of us not only followed and watched him in various bands that he performed with back in the 1980s and beyond, but we also had the honor to jam with him. He was a great guitar player, keyboard player and singer, AND also a father, husband and friend. We will miss Topper.

Hey Topper, We're on the same music wavelength with those awesome psych gems. What an incredible lineup of stellar finds! Like you, I love great psych cover art and label designs. Somehow great artwork enhances my listening pleasure and music quality perception when it's more colorful and creative. The Fool and Incredible String Band are great and set the bar high for cover art design! Your the first to show that never shown, mostly unknown/ignored 'Cellophane Symphony'. Mort Garson and Bruce Haack are amazing. I showed all my Garson in my early Moog video. I've purged 1,600 duplicates or LP's I've lost interest in since '16 for more of the good stuff on my wishlist too! Thanks for sharing. ~Jeff

50 years ago Sam Goody record stores in NY & NJ all seemed to have a mono copy of the Critters album in its cut out bargain bin for 99 cents. I never bought one. In the '80s I got a stereo compilation on a reissue label at Tower Records in NYC.

THAT PURGING DOES GIVE YOU A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. LITERALLY FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVE ASTHMA AND SEVERAL OF THE ALBUM COVERS HAD SOME DEGREE OF MILDEW. I PURGED APPROXIMATELY 4000 LPS THEN BEGAN AGAIN. BUT THIS TIME, ONLY ALLOWED RECORDS IN MY COLLECTION THAT HAD CLEAN COVERS OR NEW RE-RELEASES. I'M BACK TO ABOUT 100 ALBUMS AND MAYBE 50 45's. THE OTHER HALF LOOKS AND SOUNDS TO BE A GRAIL, IN MY OPINION. GLAD YOU'RE DOING WELL. GOOD VIDEO!

Good to see you. Yeah, that's a shoddy way to ship an album. A lot of cool albums to keep in mind for when we can get out again some time in June now. West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, A nice find. I don't think there is a part 2, their is another called West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band called "A Child's Guide to Good and Evil" on Ebay for 200.00 used. The one you're holding is worth 200.00 depending on condition. I'll have to let my kids know, there's a purge in progress here too. Some really great finds and thanks for sharing. Cheers.

I think it is great to purge your records once in a while, it really helps me figure out what genres I love and what I don't like. That power of Zeus record is amazing, ill never forget the first time I heard it. Gotta see if I can get my hands on that reprint too. I have a copy of Fever Tree "For Sale" and it was a fantastic album, great keys. You had a seriously good haul! Cheers my friend!

Watching you talk about these bands is like being in a classroom with so much to learn. One of my interests is collecting classical guitar records and last week I added 3 Andres Segovia titles. Mixed in the bins were a few Video Laserdiscs of classical music concerts (EMI catalog), a genre of "movies" I hadn't seen before, so I brought them home to give my Pioneer LD player a workout. I look forward to your next video!

You remind a lot of some psych albums I forgot about. I was in my teens in the 80s and I used to find a lot of those LPs for $1-3 so I'd check them out. Unfortunately, I've lost most along the way so it's good to see them again.

A few months ago I got a copy of the wall and it wasn't sealed but had never been opened the gatefold had never been opened I was afraid it was going to stick when I opened it but it did not. And it was in mint condition I think the guy played it once to put it on tape is what he told me and I have no reason to doubt him. This was a great video brother

BOOM!!! You have blown my mind with all of the Psyche, Topper! Incredible albums. Lots of bands I never heard of before Some I'm familiar with, some I have, some I used to have. Unicorn is a cool album that somehow I either lost or sold or loaned out and was never returned. Anywho, Bolan didn't go electric until he met Mickey Finn and recorded A Beard of Stars. I still haven't been able to get my mitts on any Budgie albums but I'm always looking. They kind of remind me of Rush but with more of a Psyche edge and vocals an octave or two higher in vocals. All in all a great show Topper, as always. Peace my friend. A pleasure to see you again.

Hi Topper! So many great scores there! That first Rare Bird is a long time favorite of mine--still have my original copy from 1970. Cool to see the first Who and those early Tyrannosaurus Rex albums (from before they got tired of spelling it out!). The Gentle Giant is a masterpiece. I've had the Who on my mind a lot lately as I got the new CD super deluxe box set of The Who Sell Out. I've been working on rebuilding my Incredible String Band collection; I still need to find 5000 Spirits. That Tommy James album has some amazing stuff on it--you could pass that title track off as a lost Krautrock project. Those Jade Warrior albums are fantastic. Shocking that Amazon is shipping LPs like that, but I've heard complaints from a lot of people getting those flimsy packages lately.

Some fabulous finds there Topper!!. Donovan 60s albums are very hard to find here in the UK. I love 5000 Spirits, but only have the CD at the moment. I was listening to Jade Warrior last week..Floating is a good one. I've seen that Randy Holden album shown before but never heard it.

Hey Topper! Power of Zeus is a monster. Dan pointed me in that direction also. What a haul with that psych box - Fever Tree, Rare Bird and Sopwith Camel?! Man! Nice to see you got a copy of Holden's Population II. The orange splatter disc is beautiful and they only pressed 300 copies. I found a copy last year on a VC meet up with Jaime Cottle. Great album. All-star video my friend. Plenty of great music in your near future. Enjoy! Cheers, Jeff

I picked up both of the Paupers records recently (magic People, Ellis Island) and if I run across Ellis Island I’ll pick it up for ya! I need to find that American Revolution and that Human Beinz! Bought a Joni Mitchel reissue of her Hissing album from Amazon that had the shipping label attached to the shrink wrap, no box or even a bag. - couldn't believe it. It looked like the driver dragged it behind the truck when it arrived. Sent it back, of course, but even if it shipped fine, I think I would have sent it back on general principle.

Quite the haul! I'm a mono guy for sure, sometimes the mono mix is superior to the stereo. Not the case for the 1st Paupers LP. I picked up a scarce og mono of that, and it is so disappointing. It sounds so flat and lifeless! I think it is a fold down mono. I don't think it will be in my collection very long. Oh you got the Randy Holden signed album. Have you played it yet? Discogs has a bunch of bad reviews on that pressing. Anyway, that was a great showing and i'm happy for you. Enjoy!
