I have JUST gotten into the alcohol ink. I think I have 15 colors so far. I am definitely going to go get some tile. I have a Silhouette so I can’t wait. Thx for sharing!!!!

i am going tommrrow morning to pick up a heat gun.i allready have some alcohol inks on hand. what i need to know is where did you find the teflon paper you are putting the ornaments on to do your tecnique. i am going to lowes to see if the have that type ceramic tile. i love that design. thank you for your help. sue

You can also find teflon sheets in the baking section. I use the with my heat press.

Can you please tell me the name of the matte fixative you used? I tried mod podge and a sealant by Krylon but both messed up.

I used krylon workable fixative. spray very lightly. I've also used clear finish gloss by design masters you have to keep the cab far away fire the first coat.

i did not make that ornament but i made a tar and it did okay. i think the tile was not hot enought but i am happy. it is a little stcky. i am going to let it air overnight. can you spray them to keep them okay. sue

I use a clear gloss spray. very lightly so it doesn't ruin it. then you can spray more the next coat

What a cool discovery! Now I have to go find my heat gun....and buy the ink! Looks so fun and turns out beautiful and unique! Does the ink need to be sealed?

I used a matte fixative you can find in the art section of joanns or Walmart. spray it lightly a few coats

Will the inks work on plastic ornaments?

It will but don't heat it. You'll get a different result on plastic of coarse.

Yes I seal them. I lightly from far away spray some krylon clear spray them covered in epoxy. You could also use krylon tripple thick but very carefully because if you do it to heavy it could ruin it. Lowes has them in the tile section
