Would be useful if you showed what was in that tube . What was that liquid ?

Interesting, would be good to know how long say 50ml of fuel burns for.

@@Tinvaak Seems like too quick burn for being very useful for survival heating. Something that heats an entire night would be more useful.

@@Tinvaak I remember my dad using a large can of sand and then add alcohol or gasoline that burns most of a night while giving off a lot of heat. Had to put the can on something to avoid burn marks on the floor.

@@Tinvaak. That short video, shows a far better version, which is burning with a wonderfully blue flame, which is not just efficient, it’s safer in an enclosed environment too……

@@Tinvaak . Fair enough, but I can only go by the video I see…….

@@Tinvaak your homemade alcohol stove sounds great, is there anywhere I could see this design? Cheers 🔥👍

Good survival idea I just have to remember to bring my power drill and the rest of the stuff to make that next time I'm going anywhere
@brandonmoney32975 ай бұрын
Definitely don't make it beforehand if it's the best thing you can afford or find. That'd be INSANEEEEE.

The cut in half and crimped aluminum can alcohol burner is probably more useful. One oz. of denatured or isopropyl will easily boil 20-24 oz. of water for at least 3 min. Alcohol stoves are bad for heat but effective for making puddles drinkable
@luigiprovencher88886 ай бұрын
Is this for heat or light? Or both?
@Tyrian3k5 ай бұрын
@@Tinvaak If you want more light, you can always put some salt at the opening. That should make it a bright yellow.

@@Tinvaak Ha ha, thanks. So don't play with it, in the basement. I will keep it, for it's intended use. Emergency fuel, for the MSR dragonfly stove.

well, that'smore like and idea for a lab and not for survival. I dont really know where in the woods or in the ice covered polar fesert you can get some copper pipes and dome tooling. The video is more like how to stay warm in your garage when your girlfriend wanyed you to sleep on a coach 😂 Anyways, thanks for the idea!

You don’t have to survive in the woods.

Why don't you make something useful like a gasoline burner.
