Wifes account. I would drive through here to get to my rent house in Leighton Bromswold. Alconbury Weston, as I remember it, was a very low area and with a good rain there was always standing water in places. Sory to see this was so bad. I really loved the people I met there while stationed at RAF Alconbury. I grew up in the country where our nearest neighbor was .25 mile away and the town was 15 miles away. So I guess I likes the area because it was like home in the USA in a small way. Thanks to all those who were cordial to a country boy who was new to GB. Had a wonderful time.
