Same! It holds a special place in my heart too. Most people overlook this movie, but has gained more love through out the years. The conversation between Flik and dot about the rock, and then later again when dot uses it to encourage Flik, will always tug my heartstrings.

A Bug's life was one of, if not the first, movie I saw in theater. I was six years old in 1998 and I remember vividly the film froze halfway through the screening. My young eyes were really opened to a love of films after that.

Dave Lee Down Under is a good KZfaqr in my opinion, but he isn’t one of the best ones I’ve seen. But props to him for giving us updates on upcoming releases and such.

I agree with this way of describing the Pixar Eras. I'm enjoying the Experimental Era, I think people are very harsh on Pixar because they set the bar so high from the start, whereas Disney and Dreamworks have always had ups and downs and people aren't surprised if something bad is done, they just hope for the good the studio is capable of (even thought now Disney is in a complicated spot that people are being harsh with a reason and I would lie if I didn´t said that Wish will be a moment very important to the studio).

Well I honestly want WALL-E 2 but I do understand because it had a great ending I think Ratatouille and WALL-E should keep it into a single film instead of squeals because some of the original actors in Ratatouille passed away

Honestly, "best" is subjective, anyway. While Pixar and Disney have very different styles, I do feel like the recent Pixar films have been influenced by Disney, somehow. Perhaps that's why I may watch them someday.

thats the problem their golden movies were critically claimed because they appeal to everyone and have themes and messages that everyone can relate to and learn from. Their recent movies dont do that anymore and their not as tightly written or well structured and mature as their classics and thats not good

I completely disagree and say they fall flat compared to most movies from the golden age along with even Inside Out and Coco, but to each his own. The reason why The Golden Age movies were so much better than what we get now is because they can be things people can either relate to or at least understand. They spoke to pretty much everyone on every level, no matter the age, culture or ethnicity.

I'd place Finding Nemo in the top spot. I destroyed that DVD from watching it too much years ago. It felt like you were going on a great adventure with Marlin and Dory to rescue Nemo. Inside Out, Ratatouille, & The Incredibles are absolute gold, too. I liked the Ratatouille even MORE as I got older, in fact. The Incredibles is probably the most mature and adult movie that Pixar's ever done. It's not every day that they release a movie that covers topics such as the financial strain that can arise from job loss, the soul-sucking nature of certain jobs, and the prospect of an extramarital affair. Never mind Mr. Incredibles' electric torture scene and his fear of his family being killed off in a plane crash over his inability to see how special his family life was because he kept thinking about his past glory days as a superhero. If Brad Bird was trying to make an animated movie that kids could enjoy but wasn't necessarily targeted at kids, then he absolutely killed it with that one. Same with Ratatouille. Right on with Cars as well. I actually thought it was no worse than something like Monsters Inc or Up and loved it much better than A Bug's Life, which was okay but a step down from TS1. I also liked Cars better than WALL-E. Cars 1 was never Pixar's worst movie. Until Cars 2, A Bug's Life was their weakest movie. The "Cars = Weakest Pixar Movie" talk was the result of some people not being able to accept the (admittedly weird-ass) setting that it takes place in. Cars 2, however.... eh, alright. I'll give the haters that one. Definitely Pixar's first genuinely bad movie and a incoherent mess that makes the cardinal sin of making the fan-favorite goofy sidekick the protagonist. Cars 3 was much better, but they never topped part 1.
