Final version of the prototype. I probably have around 1800 thousand hours into leaning how to do this on the fly and having to re-do parts over and over. Also about 2000 dollars in so far in Silicone mold and resin, tools and accessories. I am enjoying it either way. Hope you will give me your input. Thanks

You can't go wrong quoting Picard. Because of him I know "There ...are....four....Lights!". In reference to your notes, I am toying with downgrading the big smile to a smaller smirky one. Only time will tell. As far as getting the bass, I will just apply your donation when the time comes. Not sure how things are going to work out but here's hoping. The painting on the bass will be much more defined on the finished one and should look really close to her actual bass. I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to craft the comment. I will take all of it into account and do my best. Hopefully, they will see the merit of it. If I had actual Ale pics in one pose I think it would help immensely to get it all right. You rock and have a great Day, Night and Life. P.S. I thanked you on The Warning Patreon for the donation but forgot to here. Thank you so much for your support.

Hi Ken As for selling them ,perhaps the best way to approach this with TW . I would suggest doing the exact same process as what PRS did during the ERROR tour . Let Patreon supporters bid on the purchase of these . That way all the funds will go towards TW . Packaging them in a special box will also allow them to sign them too ! Perhaps numbering them would be a good idea too ! Pricing I wouldn't have discussed, because now you've left a dollar amount of what they will fetch for ... Now as for the sculpture.... since you're contemplating making another face anyways, make two ...this may inspire a collector to get both . As for lacing, may I suggest using dyed dental floss. Thin/ light enough to allow "flow/movement ". And also the same correct thickness in the shoes and glove laces. As you mentioned, the bass is rough cut right now . Perhaps use different sewing thread thickness' to mimick the different guages .don't forget her signature on the back of the headstock. Also during this period of the tour ,she had the LED light strip in . So the power pack behind the headstock important detail ! As for the base love it !!! For all three of them . Just bigger to allow them to sign them ,and having their signatures easily visible. Not just a after thought. Having just the bass as a separate lower price tier is also a very good idea. 👍 In closing ... Getting in touch with them will most definitely give you the needed input to continue on your journey. Pau's gonna be the most difficult...because you won't be building a entire kit ...understandable ! So Getting ideas from Pau would definitely help. Because she is the most creative of them . If you need more photos of Ale's bass details, let me know .I can send what I have .😊

To your points, I figured many people have no idea what these types of things go for so I figured that I had to, at least give a ball park. It may change over time but at least there is an idea for people to know if it is something they would even be able to be interested in. As far as the ribbons on the gloves, they need to be sturdy enough to hold form and not just hang to look like they are in movement. I am sure I can find a thin black metal ribbon that will have the proper look but, if not, the floss idea may work. The guitar strings work best because they are wound and perfectly mimic bass string thickness and I can use different gauges for each string. They also have the ball at the end already to sit in the saddle. I have detailed pics of Ale's bass already but, thanks. I do plan to sign and number them myself and, one of the things I was going to pitch to them was having them sign them as an extra thing. As far as the Warning getting all of the proceeds, in a perfect world I wouldn't have the cost of materials and the hours and hours of work on each one to have to account for, but I do. I am just trying to make sure that anything beyond that goes to them rather than me pocketing it. As far as packaging, that would add to the price and I was trying to keep it down but, if The Warning were involved, it would be something I assume would happen. As far as the heads, I was planning to do both so that they would be interchangeable. Still figuring this all out, hence the video for ideas from fans. Thank you for your well thought out response and feel free to keep it coming if you have other ideas. They may just shut me down on this but I gotta take the shot or I won't know.

I would love to see Ale's face when she sees it. The bae would look cool in like a wood stage floor. But, that looks cool.I'm an artist and was thinking about doing some work in acrylic on canvas of The Warning.. I mainly do rock bands and artists. and since I'm guitarist I mostly do rock and metal musicians.
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl

I have considered that as well. Do you think just straight up or cracking kind of like the stone? I thought that making the floor have a color/feel that matches her bass may look good as well. Thank you for taking time to watch and comment. It is appreciated.

I love your work so far, I think this is a brilliant idea. Sadly I won't be able to afford to buy one outright it would take me a year or more to save enough to purchase and then there is the huge cost of shipping to New Zealand which would probably double the price. But I do think you will get buyers without too much trouble. I might be interested in just Ale's base though that would be great, would you possible be able to include a smaller version of a painting of all three girls (around the same size or slightly larger than the bass itself) with the bass situated in front with the girls kneeling or standing behind it, that would look great. Just an idea, either way I'd definitely be interested in the bass on it's own, though I will try and save for a full size figure but won't hold my breath, bills to pay etc. Now to the sculpture itself. I agree with you Ale's mouth on the sculpture is very off putting, it looks so out of place. I like the idea of going with the more serious look, with perhaps a hint of a smirk. I think that is the look most of us really associate with her, though her smile is wonderful and lights up the room when she does it. I love the bass, but I think the lightning bolt logo needs to stand out a bit more (it may just be the video) but it seemed to be barely noticeable on the sculpture. As for your base (ground) I love it, The lightning bolt with crack from our thunderous Ale is brilliant and as Picard would say, "Make it so" I do think her abs need a little more work, there is something just not quite right there, (I can't really put my finger on it) the same with her sides they seem perhaps too smooth, but I'm not an artist so will bow to your expertise on the matter. And I agree her backside does need a slight lift. If you can get an Official go ahead from the girls themselves that would be wonderful, perhaps you could stamp an Officially Licensed logo onto the sculpture to add authenticity as well as a limited Item batch number showing 1/100 etc that would ensure they became rare collectables in the future. (Oh and don't for get to add your signature too. I really hope Dany, Pau and Ale as well as Rudy and their parents do give you the official go ahead and if it helps then tell them a nobody from the bottom of the planet in New Zealand thinks this is a great Idea.

I have to say this is really impressive work. I think maybe it's too much abs. I agree that the bass being a little more forward would probably be good but honestly how can I critique this? Yeah. I must kind of agree about the abs or I wouldn't have asked, Right. If they were on Dany they would be warranted because she's a workout machine and we have seen those abs. Ale, she has them once in awhile, but not as much. I think her midsection may need to be streamlined as well. I'm sure I'll figure it out. Thanks for checking it out.

Sry to hear you couldnt arrange the meaning with TW Team.The abs maybe a little more than what I see by looking at TW concert vids.Yes Thunder Queen ALE on their lightning bolt symbol...Love it.Yes opening up the arms more and letting the bass lay across the front of the body more,also agree.Yes agree the smile needs maybe the biggest adjustment love the happy smile face,but than the photo of Ale looking all serious and so sure of herself came up on the screen,with the different patterns and and see through arms....Yes love the hair..ALE with her thick different layers of gorgeous hair. I hope I can find a way to get all three..of course Pau is a must get..but all three sound great too.Hope Rudy.Dany someone from their support staff get ahold of you on this great undertaking.I do realize as you mentioned they are on tour and very busy,but still fingers crossed they get in touch with you.

Hey Ken, I gotta tell you I'm impressed with your results so far and the amount of forethought and afterthought you are putting into it. I also appreciate you're doing this in the spirit of generosity and support for DPA. I only had a couple of thoughts to offer. I realize smiles can be difficult -- just ask da Vinci -- but in my experience fans who comment seem to really love it when she smiles more, so I'd try to stick to a smile even with the degree of difficulty being what it is. And the abs, while I'm sure they're in there, seem a bit too cut. She's just a tad bit softer and rounder than her sisters for whatever reason. Dany and Pau have a bit more definition. Dany seems to have a very low body fat percentage, and Pau could probably dabble in bodybuilding if she chose to. Anyway, good luck and keep up the good work. 😀👍

Wow. Really nice work. I agree with the comment about having Patrons bid. That will start things rolling. Also, consider a Kickstarter campaign.
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl Жыл бұрын
The reason I'm not a fan of the Patrons bidding is it means the ones with the most money that are interested do great but the people who can just afford it get edged out. I'd like the middle income people have just as much of a chance as the well off Patrons. As far as Kickstarter, I would hate to take money from people to get me going and then fail to meet my expectations for quality or The Warning decide not to do it and then I have taken money for no return. It's just a thing with me that I never like to get something for nothing and it takes the pressure off.

I think the face needs work but the pose is good.. someone who is into 3D printing would probably be a better option to mass produce.
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl Жыл бұрын
From what my research is leading me to the major houses like sideshow still do molds and pours. If you do a really clean mold and are patient there is a lot less clean-up and post work on a resin pour, if done right, than there is with 3d printing. It also takes less time after the mold making part. Since I am only looking to do a limited run, this is probably the best option for now if it becomes a reality. The pose still needs some work and there are proportion issues (and that face issue) but that is why there is a prototype to figure those things out after painting. Sorry to be long-winded. Just explaining my reasoning for the process. I am going to try designing in 3d for the next one and possibly convert this one to 3d to iron out some of the issues.

Looks super good. I'm probably way too late, but Id say that the chin/lower jaw is slightly too heavy and the smile slightly too wide. On a side note: every time you made reference to "the base" I thought you meant "the bass," so that was a bit confusing.

My advice: First make sure you have a written signed detailled agreement with the band concerning the path you want to follow. If I was in Rudy's shoes I would not be happy, because the control of these processes should be with the management of The Warning and in this case it seems it's not. You and I don't know what has been discussed on the merchandise strategy with maybe Lava on for example dolls. What you are doing could compromise their position. I'm sure you don't want to do that.

I know that is a possibility and, if they say so, I will shut it down. For now it's just a possibility and I am trying to get in touch with them as well. Not trying to back them into a corner, just gauging interest and seeing if there is a market. My first choice is to work with them on it.

20:35 yeah i like the idea with two face/head 1 serious and 1 smiley face and the sculpture is too big, must be expensive, I prefer a smaller size, like a regular action figure
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl Жыл бұрын
Part of the size was practical and part was that I am a fan of the superhero sculptures in 1/3 and 1/4 format. Practically, I knew that, with it being my first sculpture, it would be easier for me to get detail a little larger the first time around. If things all work out I may do some smaller ones after this series if The Warning are good with it at that point.

@@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl she does, but it’s more of like a sarcastic smirk. Similar to the Eddie Vanhalen smile. The big smiles she does live seem intentional and not natural. I’m not being argumentative, just trying to be helpful. I’m also a sculptor, I work by hand in wood, mostly architectural modeling for $. I avoid faces like the plague!
