I enjoy watching people discovering Ren's genius, knowing they have just scratched the surface. This is Ren's" bardcore" persona. You're going to be saying "I wasn't expecting that" quite a lot, and on top of that he's a thoroughly decent human being.

These two songs are covers (the second song is obvious), the jungle reference is referring the group named Jungle whose song is "back on 74".

Welcome to your Ren journey. I would suggest Money Game 1,2,3, Sui*ide and Chalk outlines live with Chinchilla. He's a once in a lifetime artist, and I'm glad you are experiencing him! Read his story, he's an amazing human for what he has endured.

You might enjoy some of Ren's rap, too. "The Hunger", and "Losing It" are two of my favorites, and there are many others. "Money Game 1, 2, and 3" are great. Be sure to do the version of "Money Game 2" that is more complete. Its a lyric video. I'm sure other Renegades have suggested the version to listen to. Ren is very clever with his lyrics - double, and triple meanings that go by so quick it's hard to catch them all, but a blast to listen to numerous times.

I really enjoy your reactions. You focus on all of the performance, the set, the sound, the backup singers, the bassist, the blending of the voices and songs, and the amazing talents!! I think you're right about the blending of his voice with their voices. He lays back to allow them to shine.

I am moving my sculpting into the 3d realm and, if all goes well, I'm thinking of doing a whole series of sculptures of modern rock women. Of course all of the Warning, but also some of Band-Maid and others. We'll see how it goes.

I'm so happy you found Ren. He is a wonderful storyteller. I'm 60 yrs old and have enjoyed everything I've heard from Ren, bands he was in; The Big Push and Trick the Fox, and his collaborations. There are other artists who are helped by his kindness and collaborative efforts. If you continue into the "Reniverse," you will be shocked at the talent, lyrics, and visual representation of this brilliant artist's masterpieces. Welcome to the Renegades!! ❤😊 Subscribed.

Loving the reactions (watched all 3 back to back!). Think you might dig Ren and Chinchilla 'chalk outlines' live. Simple guitar, but what they do with the vocals and reverb is next level.

This video & song together are brilliant. With his facial expression changes, vein in neck and lights flickering when 'bad' Ren is talking... genius showing the different sides. And when he stands, starts to belt a few lines out... amazing sound. Might be the reverb of the room, but just sounds awesome. "And I go by many names also, Some people know me as "hope"... Some people know me as the voice that you hear, When you loosen the noose on the rope" My wife took her life in 2020. That line hits me hard. She battled her own self & lost. Maybe that is why I am drawn to this song/video so much. The ending, a pendulum swaying from dark to light, I'd have to say spot on. She explained in her note she left about a darkness overwhelming her & that year it was too much, too dark. So much battling inside for some.

Ren once told in an interview that he has to do very much sound filterwork lasting many hours in postproduction when recording with that clipped microphone that´s why you can´t hear clothes moving and other picked up sounds which shouldn´t be heard
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenlКүн бұрын
I have had to do that a few times myself. It is tedious boring work but is necessary. I feel his pain....at least as far as mixing goes.
